I won't be buying him, but I'm sure that weapon thing will look cool when we have it in hand.

While I am excited to see more pictures of the deluxe, we've seen several relatively clear images of the car mode. The one image of the bot we've seen heavily suggests it's a slightly retooled battle blades toy with smaller more screen accurate wrist guards. It probably won't look very different from battle blades in bot mode (which is a good thing).

So I am looking forward to seeing exactly what they're giving us, but I don't think it will look much different from what's currently standing on my desk.

(although it should be much easier to custom paint with a yellow body coat now that the pin stripe is gone! This would be the biggest reason I'm really looking forward to this version.)

 

I don't know, the robot mode picture is a bit hard to make out, and Hasbro is usually good at hiding their vehicle mode electronic buttons, as evidenced in ROTF Jetfire and especially Optimus Prime (whose button wasn't even shown in the instructions and remained elusive!).

 

That thing looks like it should be on a He-man toy!

I kinda like the idea of these mechtech weapons combining into a robot. Reminds me of the DC universe classics figures where they have these pieces that when you collect all the figures of the wave you can build another character. If this is the case then it would be cool!

How are you letting optional weapons ruin the actual toys for yourselves? This fanbase is absolutely ******ed.

Because I would buy this bumblebee for 45 Dollars if it was a big leader class with many features like ROTF Prime. These guns have used up nearly 25% of the toy's plastic. This bumblebee will not be too much bigger than the old voyager size and those guns are just going to be left lying around in the box once I get it. I am not paying 45 to get some guns and a small figure. Pass.

 

I agree, these toys will sell to kids like hot cakes, and that means in the year after, we'll get another classics line that every G1 fan with ruin their pants over.

 

The only thing I'm fearing for the line, in general, is that these large weapons will result in a downgrade in the sculpt or paint detailing on the figures themselves.

 

Will be getting. Battle Ops Bee was a great figure, and since this one appears to be a remold/retool/almost brand new figure with more articulation, im REALLY looking forward to it!

 

But you probably paid more to get a much smaller Alternity? You or someone else having similar complaints.
