Checking back again, IF they wanted to do it scale-wise. I see a Voyager Optimus with Bulkhead and Ratchet with a Deluxe Bee and Scout Arcee working much better than if anyone got to be a leader considering the size and mass of a Leader to a deluxe or voyager.

You're right Shroob. I will say, however, that if they gave us a Leader Prime, Voyager Bulkhead, Ratchet and Bumblebee and a deluxe Arcee, I'd be fine with that too. I know it's not QUITE to scale, but I just like Prime towering over everyone.

Going by that picture I agree, 1 scout 1 deluxe and three voyagers would look pretty accurate. Should even be close in vehicle mode as well.

Meh, I disagree. I think you're speculations are way off. But whatever.

Leader class figures of Optimus and Megatron would be cool, but I would rather buy Voyager's of them. In an ideal world I would want them to be Ultra's, leaving Voyager class to Ratchet, Bulkhead, Starscream, and Soundwave, and Deluxe class to Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Arcee, Eradicons, Brakedown, and Knockout.

A Scout class Arcee would be cool, and definitely more in-scale with the others. Most especially Bumblebee. However I have a hard time seeing them do it, unless they also made certain other characters at that scale. Maybe even some non-show characters done up in the same aesthetic to pad out the line.

As for the weapons, I don't really care if all of them have all the weapons they are shown with, just that they each have at least one weapon of some kind.

I'm most looking forward to Bumblebee. I can see them making him at a couple of different size classes. In addition to the Deluxe, a Legends class figure and a Human Alliance-like figure would be epic. I can imagine him ending up as next year's Supreme/big-ticket item (like the big movie Bee was last year's).

Huh. Why the spíndly Starscream and Soundwave would get Voyagers while Breakdown the giant would get a Deluxe?

I can see what you are talking about with mass; but in order for it to work Optimus needs all his mass to make him a tall voyager. Bulkhead needs all his mass to make him a fat/hollow short Voyager. Ratchet needs to hide all his Voyager mass making him a solid short Voyager. Bumblebee would need to be a short Deluxe with Arcee being a short Scout. I think it would be easier with 1 Leader, 2 Voyager's, 1 Deluxe, and 1 Scout. Now if they could pull it all off with only Voyager's, Deluxe's, and Scouts that would be awesome, especially on my wallet.

I think what we really need to determine their toy class sizes is a scale diagram of their vehicle modes. As others have said, some bots might be smaller in vehicle mode but bigger in robot mode because of how they use their parts (example: Lockdown).

Also, Arcee could be marketed as a deluxe if they include a figure of her holographic driver or of Jack (or heck, maybe even thrown in the other 2 kids as well).

The self-entitlement feeling of this fandom never ceases to amaze me.

Umm...because I like my car TF's as Deluxe's and my jet TF's as Voyagers? While Starscream and Soundwave are quite skinny and spindly, I can't see their designs creating such a dramatic height in bot-mode compared to their alt-modes like Lockdown has. Voyager's would just work much better for them, imho. It would also mean that they would most likely be packaged in bot-mode, something I'm becoming more a fan of than before. As for Breakdown, I think a Deluxe would work well enough for him. I just don't see the need to make him a Voyager. Out of all the TFP designs, he's one I wouldn't mind if they skipped over when making the toy line.

We haven't really seen much of his design, though. Aside from that iffy comic book illustration.
Given he looks like he's going to be the Decepticon brawler, I'd kind of want him on the same scale as Bulkhead.

Here's my 2 cents worth. I found a new Cobra Commander action figure at Walmart and it looks like the cartoon so if they are getting new toys, why not us? I know nothing about GI Joes, but its not the movie line or original series and BBTS has a pre-order listing for them. Just saying

Considering bulk characters always turn short, Voyager would be ideal for him, deluxe would just make him too small for a character that massive. Would make Lugnut look fair.

But...it doesn't. You found the recent Pursuit of Cobra Cobra Commander which only has a passing resemblance to the version featured on GI Joe Renegades. GI Joe fans are suffering through the same "kind of tied into the movie, but not quite while waiting for next fall to put out real cartoon toys" situation TF fans are in.

So yeah, GI Joe fans don't have a cartoon line at the moment either.

Just out of curiosity, assuming you've seen him, what do you think of Bumblebee's toy? Out of all the TFP characters, I'm looking forward to him the most.

As do I. Though out of all the designs, I'm most anxious about his design being turned into toy-form. What with the alt-mode being similar to his TF1 incarnation, I hope his bot-mode turns out ok.

so has there been any info as towards whether or not this would be the ONLY go at TF Prime toys? If so....I'm actually alright with a deluxe Optimus...but then i'd really need for Megatron to be a deluxe too...as well as Starscream...and Soundwave....

and breakdown....the hell? i'm gonna probably have to ignore this version of that bot....maybe. if he wins me over...he wins me over. but he's gonna have to really impress me.

    Of course it's not.

Prime is going to be a full fledged toyline. That's why TFs exist.
