Just listened. Uh, nope. That one will not be on the Transformers soundtrack. It's not that it is a bad song, but it's the wrong style. The wrong dynamic. This one is just a rumour IMO. If I am wrong, I'll be surprised.

A film named "Dark of the Moon" and the main song isn't from Pink Floyd? Come on, are you serious? If that doesn't happen then... They better run...

Nah, serious, they make some cool toys and some awesome explosios... But if you ask for a rise it's no surprise that they're giving none away

Linkin Park really hasn't been on their game since Meteora. Still waiting for a real return in sound. That song is terrible.

Agreed, and I absolutely love Linkin Park. In fact Meteora is the only CD that has been consistently in my car's CD player since it came out (yes, we are talking almost 8 years). I tried really hard to like Minutes, but personally I think that album failed, even as a concept album. I would hate for Bay to use anything from that album, but I would be very disappointed if there wasn't an LP song featured in the movie. I just very much hope they come out with something new specifically written for the movie.

At this point I am surprised they haven't actually been in one of the movies yet.

Basing this solely off the clip on Amazon, but it's not terrible, just the same mediocre sound-alike stuff that Linkin Park has been doing for awhile now.

Is there some actual reason as to why Linkin Park seem to be Bay's go-to band for the "main" songs for all of the TF movies?

You mean actually have it playing in the background during the movie? they did use mutemath and cheap trick on the soundtracks but both of those versions sucked. Too bad they won't use stan bush at least to write a song for the film.

Hm..i dont know. I am sure there are better songs in LP's discography. This..doesnt give any strong vibe like "What I've Done" or "New Divide". Actually i do enjoy more "New Divide", has plenty energy and good notes. This one is a bit too calm :S

    I don't like it.

But it is still highly probable that this is simply a rumor because every movie so far they have made an original song specifically for the movie. Why would it be any different this time unless if Bay decided to pay them less.

Plus this song has no connections to Transformers at all. It also doesn't have the upbeat rock sound that the others have had.

I like Linkin Park, but I'm just not feeling it as a TF tune. Too mellow. An original song like New Divide would work better. Or better yet, how about an orchestral mix of the classic theme combined with Steve Jablonsky's second half of the forest fight score like this, either as the movie intro or a final battle (check out the seamless insertion of Jablonsky's work at 1:34, that'll get you stoked for whatever's onscreen)

Can we have the actual Transformers theme song this time? Something rock and roll, like either Lion's version, or how about something orchestral, like Ric Formosa's version? Either would be suitably epic. Can we have some Stan Bush too? Or even some Jaam Project? I liked them too.
