The PKE isn't meant to go on the belt, what type of flightsuit do you have Shifty? If you've got a Rothco, firstly you need to put in a dye bath with Rit Pearl Gray to take away the Khaki color (which is something I haven't done yet), secondly there is a pocket on the left thigh that is plenty long and wide enough to hold the PKE. That's how I plan on carrying my PKE when I get it, my belt is already cluttered with a Trap, Goggles, and soon to be the Belt Circuit and MT500 radio..... last thing I need is the PKE hanging on there, ya know what I mean.
To each his own, but to me, it just doesn't look right. If I remember correctly, the PKE was stored in one of the pockets of Egon's suit, but I'm not sure if I remember correctly.
I think he either had it, or didn't have it. The pocket is closer to "canon" I would think, as its obvious there was no holster for it. Ive been thinking about trying to do a flightsuit eventually. PKE is good inspiration. Lacking the funds right now though.
When I'm in my suit, my pockets are being taken up by other things (car keys, wallet, phone, etc.) so I don't mind having the PKE on my belt. Especially since I don't have a ghost trap on my belt anywhere.
Depending on what brand you go with depends on price, the Rotcho suits are usually $35 to $45, Tru-Spec usually around $55, and the Nomex (which is what they used in the movies) are usually a couple hundred brand new, but if you look on ebay, you can find used Nomex suits for around $35, the color you are looking for in Nomex is Desert Tan, it's what they used for GB1. If you go the Rothco route, you are looking for the Khaki one, you then take that and get a box of Rit Pearl Grey dye and give the suit a good dye bath, it takes away the bright Khaki color and gives it the more grey look as seen on screen and gives it a closer look to the Desert Tan Nomex. My personal opinion to you is this, since you live in NY, go the Nomex route, look for one on ebay, the Nomex suits are thicker than the Rothco suits, so they are better suited for colder environments. If you decide that you absolutely need a thinner one, then get you a Rothco as well and do the dye job. I have both a Khaki Rotcho for summer here in FL, and a Sage Green Nomex for the winter here in FL. There is a story behind why one of my suits is Sage Green, and if you really want to know, just PM me, I'd be happy to share with ya. If you need any info or help on GB stuff, feel free to PM me, I'll get ya in the right track.
Cool, thanks for the info. I will definitely hit you up for info if I end up having the cash to pursue it before next halloween haha.
I'm not really collecting much of the GB line, so sorry for being a little out of the loop on them.... but I did pick up the Christmas 4-pack and had a question about it: the little Slimer figure from my set has one of its forearms attached upside-down... is this a common issue? Any reliable way to fix it? Maybe just warm water to loosen the joint? Thanks everyone!
I think your best bet is an exchange. The sets are still shipping so chances are you will see it again.
Hm, okay, thanks! Yeah, I think there are still a number of them on the TRU shelves around here... maybe I'll just do that. Thanks!
I'm a really big Ghostbusters fan, I just wish these were easy to get in the UK and reasonably priced !
I just want Nunzio. Did they already release a fig with the other Scoleri bro, or that'll be later this year? I'm not so sure they wouldn't have sold just as many pieces if they would've just released a Scoleri bro two pack. I would've bought that, but won't be buying the two figures wearing suits to get the ghosts.
