At this point, it looks like they may get released under the Generations banner.

I honestly can't see that happening. Unlike WfC, Hasbro will want TFP to have it's own line. While I think Generations will continue on with the release of DotM, I think it'll end once TFP starts up later this year.

    Energon for thought

Thank you! I'm a G1-er and that's what I liked about the animated movie and season 3. They brought in new blood and shook everything up. Prime has turned into an old killjoy who has to sound way too serious every time he speaks. Bumblebee has become an R2D2, no I liked him, I mean mini-con. The other characters are okay though, especially Ratchet and Arcee.

The added benefit of these 1st Prime toys being in Generations is that it keeps Generations going...I wouldn't mind seeing it continue as it could mean we are going to get more Classics figures even during the time that the movie line and PRIME are on shelves. Maybe these 1st figures are preview figures for PRIME.

I can't really see TFP having any toys too soon, Maybe in the winter but I count on them being too good.

I really hope they don't use electronics in the figures.

    Hey bumblebot98, nice sig :dj

I could see any large-scale figures having electronics, but for the most part the main line shouldn't have any. Unless they try and do what they had planned for Transtech, where even the Deluxe's had light-up features. Very unlikely, but not completely impossible. Would be epic if they integrated glow-in-the-dark paint-apps.

I'm actually kinda hoping they make an ubber-big Bumblebee figure for TFP. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I really love his design. In fact, there really isn't a single design in TFP, so far, that I don't like. I've even gotten used to Prime's once akward chest window's.

I wouldn't even mind a line of bot-mode only action figure's like the movie-line's have gotten. I would at the very least get a Bumblebee one if they were to make them. In-fact, this is one line that I'll probably be a Bumblebee completionist, lol.

War for Cybertron didn't really have actual transformations and they still made pretty good approximations of the characters.

I hope they give the toys some personality. Retractable battle mask, transformable arm busters, hell maybe even some movable eyebrows.
But there better be a human alliance sub-line.

I think the Toys need to have clear chest plates as most of the characters seem to have those just look at Starscream.
Also Transforming wrist-weapons like they seem to have Bulkhead i'd like to see cannon/hand arms and then he's melee maces I'd like to see the pounder-balls stored inside his torso and hopefully a few sizes like.

Optimus & Megatron I'd like to be Ultras,
Starscream, Soundwave & Bulkhead as Voyagers
    and the rest as Deluxes.

I'd welcome the characters having seats in them if possible especially if they decide to make some Human Mini-figures for them. with that in mind perhaps Arcee can be some size between Scout & Deluxe and have her rider Sadie.

Or if they made Soundwave or Bumblebee or Ratchet as Voyagers they can compensate for a decrease in size with some mini-figures. as I think Ratchet might be to small to be a Voyager and two big for a Dlx.

But the Eradicons and many of the others would be fine as Deluxes.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Hasbro come up with - I don't immediately see a need for scouts unless they slip the odd one into a generic overarching scout line that is not specifically labeled as TF-Prime toys.

And I don't want any Leaders as they'd be two big - unless they have a a character in the show at a later date who is suitable like Omega Supreme or Trypticon.

in animated im sure they design the toys 1st then the cartoon simplify a lil bit. some on. are they dumb to take risk. even movie CGI need to take note from hasbro not to over design for easier translate to toys. so i think they already figure out how Prime toys should be. and maybe just 80-90% accurate its ok for me just like movie toys

Actually, with Animated, they designed the toys and animation models at the same time.

All this discussion about whether or not we'll see some TFPrime toys makes me think.. Has there ever been an animated series, on US television anyway, that hasn't had toys?? So I'm betting we'll see some toys asap.

My goodness we know we're getting toys. It is confirmed, fact, full toyline, the works.

There's never been an animated series without a toyline to support it.

I would like that too, but honestly lately I've been thinking they will probably give them MechTech weapons and focus on weapon interchangeability.

At this point, no mater what we end up getting in the form of a TFP toy line, there is no way they're going to live up to this hype and speculation.

I get the feeling when we do finally see them, we're just going to get a bunch of posts talking about how much money people will be saving by not buying them.

There will definitely be a certain amount of outcry from a certain percentage of the fandome, but that's inevitable no matter how well engineered they are.

Honestly, as long as they can come up with decent, good looking toys that are recognizable as their show characters, I'll be happy. Even if they end up boxier, kibble-covered, shellformers. I'd even bey happy with non-transforming action figures (would definitely allow them to make really show-accurate bot-modes, lol).

    I wanna see
    - Bulkhead, he needs a better scaled figure than Animated

-Eradicons would be great in different size classes (car / jet types as deluxe, drill maybe either deluxe or Voyager, and the probable Tank type also be either Voyager or Ultra)
