    Hey everyone,

I went to Wal-Mart today and at first I was going to buy some Cybertron toys. I thought some of them looked cool. I really liked Sideways and they had him! But then I was like, what if I don't like the show... and I didn't want to walk out with more than I could actually afford... soooooo then I saw Tracks.. the Alternator version and I've always wanted to get him cause he's my favorites and so I did! Yay!

I'm considering getting some of the other Alternators.. Prowl for sure, and maybe some of the others that are actually cars in G1.. does anyone have any suggestions for my next purchase?

    J.P.

Yeah, the alternators are great. I have almost all of them. Just need to add the newest ones to my collection. You should go on ebay or somethin and get some of the older ones, like Silverstreak or Smokescreen.

All of them... Except for Swerve...

The rest were all cars in G1. Well, except for Shockwave and Grimlock. But they pulled it off nice. They are cool. Ravage isn't that great either, but at least he was a major character.

Thats funny because I have every Binaltech and every Alt. except for Swerve also! I have never even seen a Swerve in a store anywhere. I could just buy him on the internet.... but so far I have bought every Alt. at a store. I want to keep that tradition going.

Finally just opened him up and though I did have a tad wee bit of trouble getting his weapon out of the hood, I did finally transform him and I have to say wow. I was always skeptical about the Alternators but i was wrong. these are great toys / collectibles / display items ^_^

I love the guns that pop out by his hands lol!

I know it's never going to happen, but wouldn't it be cool if they made all or most of the G1 Transformers in the Alternators style? Mind you i'd want them to be accurate like having Optimus be his truck, Shockwave a huge gun, and whatnot.

I could just imagine if they made all six of the Constructicons as actual construction vehicles and then you could combine them to form one huge robot in Devastator. I could see alot of people getting those. I think it would be cool even though I know it won't happen.

    That would be sweeeetttt.

My Devistator didn't stay together so well though. I guess the last thing I need is a top heavy 3 foot monster bot to fall over on me at night!

Check some places like Max Ways. I saw Sideswipe and Silverstreak for $10.00 each.

I don't like the show, and I still bought Sideways. It's among the best toys from the Cyberton line, IMO, and scores very high with fans as well according to the reviews on http://unicron.com/reviews/item.php?id=497

It's very cool and very posable. Highly recommended.

I've only taken a few out of package so far (I treat myself about once a month and open another one), but the only one from the whole line I don't care for so far is Sunstreaker. Don't like the paint scheme and the Viper logo on the front is applied off-center and looks tacky against the yellow.

As for opinions on the others, I waited it out and bought nearly all of mine on discount because I didn't want to pay retail for them -- especially the steady stream of repaints/remolds. It's up to you man -- if you find one and like what you see, buy it. Definitely recommend Grimlock, Wheeljack, Meister/Jazz, Tracks, and Shockwave is by my far my favorite. Very much looking forward to the releases of Mirage and Optimus.

If you wanna save yourself some money as well as the hassle of ordering online or dealing with auction headaches, check KB Toys Outlet stores (if you've got a location near you) for older Alts at discounted prices. I bought Alts Sideswipe, Smokescreen, and Ravage there each for less than $14.

Prowl is one of my favorites due to the likeness to his G1 roots. I would also recommend one of the Mustangs, RX-8s, or Subarus for their overall appeal. Though, I still feel that the RX-8 and Subaru models have the most attractive bot modes.

Where I live in Canada it's hard to find good Alts so when I got the opportunity to go to a Green Bay Packers game I did some shopping while I was there and found Skids, Prowl and Sunstreaker. For me this was Christmas haha.

I got my first Alternator not too long ago. I'm not sure exactly when but it was last year. And it was Shockwave. Congrats on jumping on the Alternators/Binaltech bandwagon.

Glad to hear you like the Alts JPJappic. Tracks and Sideswipe are a good start. As for which one to buy next, Sunstreaker looks good next to his brother, but if you want a different mold I'd try Hound/Swindle. Just like Tracks is still a blue corvette, Hound is still a green jeep which makes his just that extra bit more special I think. Of course my personal fave is Silverstreak. He may be a different car, but his transformation is very similar to his original (just more sophisticated). Plus the Subaru I think is one of the least complicated molds to figure out or get frustrated with unlike say Grimlock or Meister. (Not that Grimmy and Jazz don't look great once you finally figure them out.)

Also, he's not technically an Alt, but Masterpiece Op, fits the bill for redoing G1 Prime...and how!

All the Alts are great, you can't go wrong with any of them...Sideways is awesome too, by far the best TF to be released in a long time...poseability plus cool robot and vehicle modes...hard to beat it. Actually I'd take it over the Alternators to be perfectly honest.
