Why are you so concerned about them having pubic hair? Why do you honestly think that's even a topic to bring up or that would be brought up in any TF continuity?
I don't recall any movie bot who has genitals. Closest thing I recall is Dickbot the Blender Guy, and even then it's a gun in his crotch, not an actual... part. And Devastator who had cranes on his back with wrecking balls hanging down in a humourously suggestive way. And as for Einstien bot's hair, it's not hair. It's fibre-optics like stuff. I think it's a pretty clever way to make a robot look like it has hair besides having it be metal like on Jetfire's beard.
The difference between this and G1 'hair' is that ok, whilst it was obviously meant to resemble hair in G1, it was thick and solid to the point that you could write it off as simply being bizarre alien metal facial potrusions that coincidentally happened to resemble beards and moustaches - however, to me, this 'Wheeljack' looks like he has organic hair. ...but then again, being an alien scientist who has no doubt performed thousands of outlandish experiments, you could easily say that having organic hair is a biproduct of one of them.
I had never thought of that before. Great call. The more I watch G1 cartoons again, the more I think this looks like a reasonable Bayverse Wheeljack. And Christopher Lloyd as Wheeljack would own.

It's just that given Bay's wanting to copy G1 with beards and hair, and making them sexual with Wheelie humping Mikaela's leg, plus his penchant for low brow humor.....well at this point I wouldn't put anything past him. Knowing Bay, though he promised no dorky humor, he could have Einstein bot say something really stupid like how his old pubes, like his hair, are white too.
Fiber optic or not, it's still hair. Hell he even has a metal mustache. Polar bears, believe it or not, have fiber optic like hair that channels solar radiation down to their black skin to keep them extra warm in the cold artic climate. As for bots having genitals....Bumble Bee peeing on a guy? Wheelie humping Mikaela's leg? I wouldn't put anything past Bay these days.

That's because it's easier to drawn hair like that when you have to animate a cartoon. Check out Spike's hair...
Not hung up. I just don't get the logic behind robot hair or robot genitals for that matter. Ok, if the TFs are biomechanical and reproduce like us, then they will need male and female parts. But hair? Why would they have hair?
They could be using a really early design of the robot in that cut out. Like the Megz cut out seen on the Chicago set is the exact same one from first movie, whereas we know that his facial design is different for DOTM.
I think it's stupid to make him old and so Einstein looking. Let the personality come out instead of making it literal that because wheeljack invents things he should be old and look like Albert Einstein. G1 design is cool, this isn't
Damn, when you see that bot's head next to Bumblebee's, don't you guys think they look like each other? And I'm pretty certain thay Bay will give him a german accent like Scalpel (aka The Doctor) had in ROTF.
