A lot of the movie Optimus figures have those. They're just usually a lot smaller. My thoughts on this figure? Well, I'm glad I don't have to be the first to express how much of a disappointment it is. But getting over initial impressions, it looks like it could still be fun. It doesn't look as good as the accuracy of HFTD Voyager Prime, but it's probably comparable to TF1 Voyager Prime. My thoughts on the size is that additional gimmicks do have a cost. The bigger the gun, the less plastic they have for the figure. I also think there's a reasonable chance this figure may combine. That might also account for the small size, and relatively large head. Maybe it'll be sold separately at first, and then later with the trailer.
A lot of people are saying cyberverse plus, take a look at the price list, and this is in Canadian dollars. Transformers MV3 Activators ass.---$9.99 Transformers MV3 Cybertech DLX-----$16.99 Transformers MV3 Cybertech Lead----$59.99 Transformers MV3 Cybertech voy-----$29.99 Transformers MV3 Cyberverse basic--$5.99 Transformers MV3 Cyberverse plus---$9.99 Transformers MV3 GO BOTS ass.------$12.99 Transformers MV3 Revving robots----$24.99 That much toy for ten bucks, with the economic's Hasbro faces these days? No chance. I've gone over this list and it doesn't fit into any of those category's easily, anything cybertech is mainline stuff (we now know it as mechtech), revving robots suggest either motorised or electronic features (this toy doesn't appear to have either) and everything else is too cheap.
Kinda meh on this figure. The strong FAB look is not helping. That is, unless this is a new Activator of some sort, which there are plenty of indications it is not. I think the prior Prime molds have been so damn good that I wish Hasbro would focus there time on new molds for other characters and just repaint the ROTF figs a little bit for Prime. But, at least this will make plenty of other people happy, so no big loss. There are definitely going to be a ton of other new figures I am bound to be excited about.
I wouldn't be surprised if those actually fold out into a set of cannons, given this new line wide gimmick, Mechtech, seems to be weapon based.
Oh, I'm not saying it's not a Voyager, just that it's surprising to see that type of joints on a Voyager. Maybe the mold requires it?
I agree. Not to mention "Plus" seems to be the new scout class term. We don't, however, know what "Revving robots" are. I think it's premature to assume that it will be motorized or electronic. We don't know what that means and we also don't know if that will remain the term. Cybertech has changed to Mechtech (at least it seems that way) so why couldn't that? It might be a voyager but with how much it doesn't look like it will fit in with the other voyagers I kind of thing this hard to believe. As I think the PCC line will end when the movie toys come out, I think Revving Robots and Go-Bots will replace those spaces on the shelves and Revving would be about the same price as the 5-packs, which would be a box.
Ok, so it comes in a box. That doesn't mean it's a voyager. Again, it could be a set of some kind. Maybe it comes with a trailer to combine with, or another character as a two-pack? Just because it's not carded doesn't mean it's not a deluxe-scaled figure. It just means that it's in a non-deluxe price-point. We're all well aware that price/packaging doesn't always go perfectly with scale right? It's been shown (via comparison with Classics/Henkei Prime) that it's roughly deluxe sized. It's painfully obvious that it's nowhere near voyager (or higher) complexity. So: Size/Height: ~Deluxe~ Complexity: ~Deluxe~ Packaging: Some kind of Box At this point, I'd bet money that it's a deluxe-scaled figure that's part of a set of some kind. Now, they may sell it at the voyager price point but that doesn't make it a voyager...
You know, the more I think about this, the more I think back to that Deluxe-ish Prime that came packaged with the Classics Deluxe Prime. Could this be something similar, a Prime two-pack "bridging the Generations" or some such?
its gota be deluxe (il get him if it is) it is smaller than the classics one and he was shorter than most voyagers this makes him the same size as deluxe movie bumblebee. i cant see that being 3o bucks.
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...der-mechtech-human-alliance-etc-inc-pics.html VOYAGER. Can people stop saying "deluxe" now? No? Okay.
Can YOU stop putting forth what is only YOUR opinion and conjecture at this point as truth? There is not one concrete shred of evidence to indicate this is a Voyager. Just because it was seen tied to a cardboard insert doesn't mean it's a Voyager when one considers the new, unknown sublines. So please, let it go. You're more concerned about it than anyone else is.
No, because it's not my opinion, it's listed right there as a voyager. second post in that topic. Believe it or not, I did have a reason for posting, and a reason for posting that link. Second post in that topic, link, click it, scroll. We're past that point now. cardboard insert doesn't matter. We actually have a new picture of the thing, that's tied to a "voyager optimus" listing, from the same absolutely reputable people who just revealed a crapload of other info. That being said, there's no unknown sublines anymore! We've seen every one of the new sublines now. Cyberverse is legends. cyberverse plus is legends, but it looks bigger (and we see the optimus in that class). We've even seen "human alliance basic" stuff! lol, no.
