I was 7 years old, it was either 1996 or 97 and I came home from school as usual, and I was sitting in my room playing with my toys and then dad called me into his office and pointed to his Television, and running was Beast Wars. It was the first time i ever saw something so visually amazing. It was the episode Equal Measure, and it was just at the end of the episode and i saw Dinobot and in beast mode and I was just in complete awe. Then months later Dad bought me the toy of him. I don't think i have ever been so happy for a toy that much or have been ever since. Its the oldest toy i still have from my childhood.

When G1 Smokescreen first came out. I had Dad take me to our local TRU, "lived in Reno Nevada at the time" and I started to hunt down Smokescreen.
Went to the isle where the Transformers were, and started to dig through the pile. Just as soon as I asked Dad to help me look for Smokescreen, I had found him. It was that instant!
Smokescreen was my favorite when he first came out. Loved the racing Datson 280Z look.

My first episode was beast wars too. It was the season 3 episode "changing of the guard." Loved that episode, and was amazed by the visuals too.

It's a pretty strange one :lol  but it was the day I got these plastic bowls

I was 4 or 5 years old (I can't remember exactly) & I was going through that stage when I refused to eat healthy food. Anyway, My Mum knew I luved my cartoons & she produced these bowls one particular day before dinner. Needless to say, I ate all my food that night... :lol

My earliest TF memory is of playing with the G1 Dinobots in a sandbox at a friend's house.

Went to 7-11 to see if the new Spiderman comic book was in yet and he was on the cover of some new book in front of a bunch of robots. Best part was that Spider Man and Transformers came out on different weeks.

I think I was 10 or 11. I remember watching the saturday morning cartoons of the G1 at the time and looooove the second season intro, as well as the triplechangers and dinobots. I remember visiting Target and Kmart at the time (no Walmart then) and gawk at the rows and rows of transformer toys for as long as possible, with occasional detour to He-Man and M.A.S.K. aisles. I remember studying each artwork carefully and marvel at the level of detail and artistry that goes into each of them. I remember imaging myself opening them up and playing with each of them in my mind as I was looking at the pictures of the toys on the side and the back of each box. I remember my disappointment when it was time to go, because I couldn't take any of them with me.

That's pretty much my childhood. :(

I think it was my 6th or 7th birthday ('84 or '85), but I clearly remember being in the John Lewis/Westgate House in Peterborough with my Mum, Dad and Grandparents deciding which 2 TFs I was going to buy with my birthday money.
I chose Prime and Starscream and have a vivid memory of sitting in the back seat of the car all the way home with them on my lap just staring at them.

It was in the mid 90s i guess , i grew up with late transformers series like victory etc
stores usually packed with Generation 2 TFs , on a particular trip , my parent brought me to TRU , as i was browsing thru shelves , nothing really caught my eyes , untill i saw a damn big box of transformer on the highest shelve , i never seen anything so awesome before it was G1 SCORPONOK !!

Omg never had any idea who he was back then , but the box art of G1 is soo majestic althou it had some minor / moderate wears on it but nothing is stoping me to keep staring at the box , all other toys in the store became redundant somehow
i tried reaching for it but the shelve is too high for me to reach at that time .

So i quickly ran to my parents and ask them to come over (as i was soo afraid someone might acutally buy it hah) , so they came , to my disappointment my parent said the box is soo old and doesnt looks new , what if the toy is broken or spoil and the size of too big etc bullscrap lols, telling me to get someother newer stuff (like those lame G2s) , i insisted to get the god damn one and only G1 scorponok in the stores .

After persuading them that i will not buy another toy for a month or so , if i could have that and promise to be good , finally my parents gave in to me and brought awesome and heavy decepticon headmaster for me , i srsly had trouble carrying back then as i was only 6 or 7 =/

so i went home as a happy kiddos , god i love my parents sooooo much.
good things doesnt last long thou after much playing with it i lost the damn headmaster in afew days time hahas.

Till now i could still remember that day well , and the scorponok is still with me only missing the head and some orange base pieces . someday he will be complete agian i promise! =D Transformers still hold a very special place for me , something that could not be replaced over time =) .

After having read the comic for a while - the first time I saw the 80's TV show I remember wondering why Ironhide & Ratchet looked nothing like they did in the early comics - and wondering why Trailbreaker sounded like he was from Texas - and liking Rumble a lot and thinking he was a cool lil' dude.

And that Prowl & Bluestreak was a bit of a dipstick.

I was 8 and it was 2001. I was watching Fox Kids and saw this awesome show about fighting robots. I had no clue what it was. I saw how awesome the characters were and I immediately loved Optimus Prime. Turns out this show was called Transformers Robots in Disguise. I started watching the show regularly. Eventually I got my dad to rent some old looking TF movies at Blockbuster. I later found out the show was G1. I've been hooked ever since.

It was the year 1999 and my brother showed me a vhs that was made in 1986, in a time period set in 2005... Life was different after that.
