He's a Scout? Interesting, I thought they were supposed to be Deluxes, hence the 2 of them as a Voyager in United.

Not caring much for the gold weapons, the silver ones look a lot nicer.

OK, after 26 years, why the heck is Hasbro reversing their position on this? I hope some one asks this in their next Q & A. And they better not give some BS reason like "we decided the RIRFIB" was more "popular" with the fandom: if one version really were that much more popular than the other, there wouldn't be any raging debates on it in the first place.

I go by what the show says. Frenzy-red rumble-blue. Hasbro probably doesn't even care anyway. Or maybe they wanted to please the fans of the line most G1 molds were originally from.

 

BAD A$$. Very appropriate mold.

I'll have to see this in person, his arms look out of place as is right now, too long or something. The guns on this thing stink too although the gold is a nice touch. I never cared for the whole RIBFIR argument, I never knew for years that there was even a discussion about it. Still feel that although they are smaller, the Perfect Effects guys are better, my 2 cents on the matter.

 

The bad part of this is that this figure is based on the 1986 Frenzy variant with the gold guns yet it is called Rumble like the cartoon (who never appeared with gold guns).

I did a comparison of the United Frenzy (on the left) and RtS Rumble (on the right) for those interested in comparing. I like the gold guns on RtS Rumble, but I prefer United Frenzy overall.

First thing I saw when I read this news, still, if these are scouts I may actually buy a Transformer (shock horror) for the first time in God knows when, mainly because this figure looks like it has some good articulation and a decent transformation.

 

I have a bad feeling that these guys are going to be ad TFU Legends Cosmos.

Love it! Except that this is Frenzy, not Rumble. They'll have to do a red one, too.
