    Reveal The Shield: Jazz

I pull my head up from long days of overtime this holiday season to post this. As a lot of you know, I love me some JAZZ!!! He's the man. Well, the nw figure truly does him justice, one if the best TF's to date.

But, I'm, not to fond of the head...and that's where it starts. The full Martini Racing Team decal treatment, a replacement head that (IMO) work much better for Jazz, a custom shoulder canon and his original RTS head.

Nice. I like what you've done with him. I'll be watching it to see how he does.

Didn't Hasbro issue a cease and desist against customs using the Botcon SG Jazz head?

I prefer the RTS head I think, it may be frowny but theres something about it that looks less chubby than the clubs effort. Good job on drybrushing though

You don't like the new head? I'm very surprised!... I love it. I think he's got a great 'Whatchoo *&^!ing staring at, b*tch?' expression going on. Anyway.. the paint job and decal work are phenomenal, Earl. As usual. Great stuff from you. :)

I'm surprised you left the molded speaker detail inside the doors alone...?

Great work. I'm fine with the factory head as well. Love the decals, looking forward to Reprolabels' eventual efforts for this figure.

I agree with Storm on this, despite the fact the one I got has a nick in his cheek I still love the head with it's awesome(albeit kinda weak) light piping. The Botcon version just looks too generic and flat by comparison. In fact I might be inclined to say this new one might fit a shattered glass version of Jazz better because of it's grumpy look.

How does that head fit during transformation and such?

I posted a few pics of the RTS head in the first post. I was so tired when I made this thread, I totally forgot. Sorry guys.

    What BotCon head??? :confused2
If I'm not mistaken, the issue was selling the head individually, not customs with it. At least I haven't had any issues yet. Hopefully I'm not horribly wrong.

It's not horrible, it just seems kinda chubby to me. LOVE the toy though. My favorite TF of 2010 hands down.

    Thanks BB

    :lol  Speakers are undergoing a.....transformation.

Love the speakers!! They'll be along for the ride.

No, no. This is teasing you:

He's in the air today, BTW. Had to snap a pic with the old Jazz custom.

What disappoints me is how the small chubby head makes him look stocky. It's not how I envision Jazz as a character at all. Still, not complaining. This figure is totally killer. Besides, that's what customizing is for, right??

Thanks, DP. The decals are for sale, BTW. Hit me up if you need some.

It does not, way to big. It's another reason why I included the RTS head. I sacrificed one of the others by sanding and modding it trying to get it to fit, but no dice.

Nice work as ever man, Did you make the decals yourself if so are you planning to mass produce them for sale to fellow customizers. I think they would sell very well dude.

It's unfortunate that the head doesn't fit. Sanding and cutting into the plastic would probably create some gaps in the hood anyway. The default head has actually grown on me. Still love the cast, though. I've got a few myself.

I've been wondering how long you'd make us wait before you dropped your work on the new Jazz on us. Excellent job, Earl! Always a huge fan of your style and work, man.

seriously great job man, I was happy just to see the grill painted though. the decals really make this Jazz. Any chance of pics with "regular" RTS Jazz?
