Maintaining your airbrush is simple, just make sure to properly clean it out after each use. And i hope you mean candy coating with spray cans as an alternative to ABing cause hand painting a candy coat it is UGLY! But yea once you start painting and modifying your kits, it's a whole new world to the hobby.

Picked up the Master Grade Death Scythe ver Ka today, which was bought using my parent's Christmas money. It ended up costing about 60$ which for a local import store isn't a bad price I think.

I got some black paint left over, so I'm definitly adding some more black to this guy.

Is it just me, or have the Master Grade boxes gotten a bit smaller?

The boxes are made to size for the runners.

Well, not really. There's sometimes lots of empty space, especially in the long boxes.

There's about three main box sizes they tend to use. There's the small but deep ones, that tend to get used for smaller/more basic kits, then there's the larger but flatter type that tend to get used for higher profile kits, then there's the extra long boxes that get used for the big/super deluxe kits.

The box depths will vary a bit, depending on the contents, but with height/widths are fairly standard.

Yea this is what i meant. LOL but you said it better. Although there are instances where the boxes are special made. The O comes to mind.

I've hand painted many candy coats, if you do it in two light thin coats it comes out perfectly fine, no brush marks at all. Just don't put too much on in one coat, take it easy.

Yeah, but spraying will in no way be ever as satisfying as hand painting something.

Also got my MG Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss Custom from the Gundam expo yesterday, along with a Slaughter Dagger. Was tempted by some other stuff, but all the exclusives are at crazy prices barring Destiny, and normal kits are all either regular price or jacked up. Least they gave you some free goodies, but in the end it didn't feel worth the extra money. Still, orange Destiny FTW!

It's in a mall, so they can't charge, otherwise everyone who passes by would have to pay, even the people that live in the apartments above. There's no entrance fee, just walk in, buy shit, leave. There's really nothing to see bar a few dioramas. Just grab the exclusives and go.

Anyone have the Beginning Gundam, Bearguy, or Super Zaku? I'm wondering if they're worth getting.

I have Beginning Gundam. The elbow and wrist setup is a bit odd and it has a suprisingly high number of stickers but overall its a good kit. There is a version with its in show upgrades on the way though. So you might want to wait for that.

Need some help from the guys that have MEGA Size RX-78-2.

    A) How big is he? A comparison pic would be useful.
    B) How do his legs connect to his waist? Ball joint, swivel, ratchet, what? And more imporantly, is the connection strong, can it hold up much weight?
    C) How heavy is the model itself?

The reason i ask is that i'm building a set of Predacons, and was thinking that since Unicron and Primus are scarce, and this guy i can get for cheap, whether this would be a suitable alternative for making Predaking.
