Nah, even if it was just based on the trailer alone, Thor would still win. It's just more exciting and shows a lot more.

 

I haven't seen DOTM trailer, but I don't really like the idea of a powerful hammer, never did and evidently THor is in the lead.
Now, if this was the trailer to Avengers, I probably would vote for it, but THor? Not so much.

My vote will stay for TF, always has, I just can't get over alien robots that transform.

Plus, I don't see how you can compare an announcement trailer with an actual full-on trailer in terms of what's getting you more excited.

That, and IGN clearly isn't too fond of the TF movie franchise.

 

I voted TF3, just because I took pitty on it.

 

I'll refrain until a full trailer for TF3 is available. It's just not a fair comparison at this stage.

In terms of Box Office records, DOTM will crush Thor for sure!    

 

Thor is a boring, unoriginal character and TF3's trailer didn't really provide me anything that was exciting.

 

I don't know how the movies will turn out, but Thor's trailer owed DOTM's.

 

I've seen both trailers, I'm not a Thor fan in anyway whatsoever but this is Michael Bay and Transformers, hmmm........ Thor wins by default, a landslide victory of epic proportions!

I'm actually equally excited for both movies, but thought the TF trailer was more intruiging and had a better "mood" to it... (But i'm more excited for Cowboys -vs- Aliens)

 

Thor gets my vote. I love Marvel characters. Bay already burned me with ROTF. Plus most Marvel movies are good movies.

 

I think it's fair to compare them. Just because something is an announcement trailer that doesn't mean that it somehow must be a lesser trailer. It's all comes down to what are you going to do in a short amount of time to get people excited about your film.

Films like Super 8 and Star Trek managed announcement trailers as good as any other trailers.

In some ways a teaser trailer can be even more effective than a full trailer because you can get people's imaginations running wild in a ways a full trailer just can't match.

 

Doesn't thor open in may and transformers 3 open in july

so people will still be hype about transformers 3 but the biggest question is when does the captain america trailer hit , im really wanting to see that movie

 

More of a case of Seinfeld is Unfunny (doesn't mean you have to like him). He's a reasonably kid friendly version of a Norse God, this is some old shit sunshine, so characters like Thor have appeared in media for a long time, making him look old and trite.


Still, even with the infinite power of the galaxy, I can't change your opinion on him....and I'm glad of that.

 

Thor looks excellent in all regards (love the director, the casting, the aesthetics, what of I've heard of the plot, etc..), whereas TF3 seems to follow in the footsteps of TF2 and TF1 in being another explosion-fest with little semblance of a plot.
