Remember even the Secretary of Defense has never heard of Sector 7 in the first movie?

 

Sorry, but I'm pretty sure it is. Bay called it that, multiple news sites called it that and it's too early for it to be an official trailer.

It's similar to the Tron Legacy teaser we got last year.

 

I'm surprised people haven't corrected the fact it says "trailer" after the announcement text in the banner.

 

  Awesome, way better than what I was expecting.

In the first movie the allspark was shown floating in space before crash on earth.

 

That trailer gave me chills. That face is freaky!

 

I'm not going for Alpha Trion. This bot is trapped in something. Like a prisioner. Besides, it looks like he is under the ship deck or something.

Also, the music give us a vibe of a menasing robot, not from friendly one, so I'm guessing this is NOT Alpha Trion.

 

the bot at the end looks like Vector Prime to me. but given the strong G1 lore they are drawing on from for these movies maybe it's Alpha.

 

Yeah, right in Earths orbit. The event he speaks of could of happened before that shot.

Lolol, I just noticed that the dad from Even Stevens is in the control room, a show Shia was on.

 

Maybe he's strapped in for landing, but it didn't go well (obviously) and he got knocked offline. They wouldn't be just walking around during reentry of the atmosphere... despite what other sci-fi movies say, it's a bumpy ride.

 

This might actually be an okay movie. I mean its a Bay movie, and I dont expect it to be anything deep. I hope it'll be a nice send off for the Transformers franchise in terms of the movies. Its been going sense 2007, and im glad that It brought us a new aesthetic. Which I prefer more slimmed down, and sleek robots. It brought back old favorites like Cullen, and it brought Transformers back into the public eye as "pretty damn cool" again. I remember when we suffered the Unicron Trilogy. It seems as with the Unicron Trilogy Transformers went into a hibernation. Now its back, and going strong. The second movie was a total disaster, but I enjoyed the First one. So I have hopes this will be a great send off.

 

Considering all the other bots in the ship, who were not buckled up, are dead this isn't an outrageous conclusion.

 

I wouldn't get my hopes up, we haven't seen a single thing really with the teaser yet. So there's still a lot to play for a lot of stuff can still go wrong. I was burned by the second movie so i really lost that excitement i had prior to seeing ROTF. I'll admit the lack of concept leaks make this a very uneventful film to follow so far.

 

So, did anyone else notice that one of the NASA personel was Shia LaBeouf's father from Even Stevens? I lol'd for a good 30 seconds when I spotted him.

 

Not sure if it's already been said(damn this thread got long), but the ship reminds me of the Predacons crashed one in Beast Wars(Darksyde?).  

 

Ok, what if he was in stasis lock/hibernation and they (Autobots) were transporting him on the Ark (if they find a cure to revive him) and they get into a battle with the Nemesis. He's the only one strapped in because everyone else is fighting and he's sleeping?

Also, the protoforms match the Autobot 'forms from TF1 and their faces resemble Prime's faceplate, and Decepticon protoforms are spikey, a-la-ROTF.

 

I'm really getting an Autobot vibe from this ship. I mean it's crashed into the side of the mountain at a similar angle as the Ark. So I think it is indeed the Ark, probably being captained by Alpha Trion or Sentinel Prime.
