The trailer actually looked good. There may be a VERY slight sliver of hope for this movie. Remains to be seen weather it'll actually be worth seeing. There's still the stupid NASCAR "transformers" and Sam's "powerglove".... all of which seem extremely stupid to me. But we'll see. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Definitely not going to the first showing this time though. Might even wait for the movie to go to the cheap seats.

The ship crashed gave me a Darksyde vibe. 

 

I think someone stayed behind because remember in the first installment when sector seven tells the secretary of defense (john voight) that the "beagle" had been destroyed in Mars...I think someone stayed behind watching our galaxy...bumblebee maybe? Could he had destroyed the rover when the camera was rolling?

Not every branch of government knew about Megatron (hence SECDEF not knowing in TF1), so that means NASA didn't either. This was "their first encounter". S7 were the only ones who knew about Megs.

 

Announcement teaser?
Why release an announcement teaser for something that's already been established through two films. I mean we all know what the Transformers look like it's no big secret so why hide them. ROTF first teaser had so many bots in it compared to this film's "announcement" which show just about as much if barely anything more than the TF1 announcement. As i said in my earlier post, teaser aren't meant to showcase the plot, they are supposed to entice the viewer with cool/exciting footage so that the people know a TF3 is coming. Right now the vibe i'm getting from this is almost like this is a restart. Using the same marketing as Batman Begins, Star Trek or even Casino Royale where you dont know its actually a new entry in those series.

 

I told myself I wouldn't get involved with news regarding DOTM but this has intrigued me, the bot in the teaser he looks rather primish don't you think? My Guess is that it's sentinal prime, I'm not too well versed on the movieverse but this guy is really prime like, he has the old regal face which actually looks human unlike many other bots and his helmet has a similar design to optimus.

But now this kinda makes me wonder, this bot actually looks pretty solid, I mean his face while composed of many pieces almost looks normal and he has well defined facial features....why couldn't all the bots have followed this kind of design aesthetic from the getgo DX

 

You will be waiting a long time...

 

OK, so maybe the ship belongs to the Autobots and the bot (either Alpha Trion or Sentinel Prime) was being secretly transported to the safety of another planet until for some reason, the ship crash landed on the moon!

My guess is that this is an Autobot Ship that was helding a prisioner, probably a great deception threat.

 

I'm sorry but I don't see it

 

We all know we're going to get a film that blows your tits off, stamps on your throat and screams in your ears until they bleed.

I enjoy the relative calm of this trailer when the subsequent film will have about as much subtlety as a punch in the nads.

The reason Alpha trion and this ship were on our moon was because they were transporting the All-Spark. After the Decepticons found out about it they attacked and the ship crashed. The All-Spark was lost somewhere on our planet during the fight and Megatron arrived after the fact and got frozen. that's what I'm thinking. It's explains why there was an old ship on the moon and how the All-Spark got here AND why Megs was here too.
