I liked it. I got some awesome headphones for cheap (skullcandy) and some animated deluxes. All I wanted BB28
Went to a mall at midnight, picked up a Quiksilver jacket, two Oakley shirts, and some Under Armour base layers for good prices. Woke up at 1PM, went to Target and picked up a WFC Cliffjumper and Thunderwing. Not a bad Black Friday.
It was hectic for us, we went to walmart: I managed to grab my Phillips 1000W Blu Ray Home Theater System, was lucky it didn't require a ticket or for me to stand in line as it wasn't one of the "Hot Sellers". My mom on the other hand about had a fit, she stood in line to get her 42" LG HDTV's ticket, then she took the ticket to pay for the TV, after you pay for it you take the receipt and upc code back to get the actual TV, then she found out she had to go outside and take her car around to TLE to get her TV since it's so big and can't safely fit into a buggy. We take the car around back to TLE, wait for them to find our TV, turns out they had 6 LG 42" inchers in stock, but they gave out 7 tickets and we the 7th in line to get the LG. They ended up calling out a manager and he credited us the amount she spent on the LG to put towards a bigger Samsung HDTV, he also knocked another $100 off the price of the Samsung. So instead of a 42" LG with 1080P and only 60HZ we ended up with a 46" Samsung LCD with 1080P, 120HZ and ethernet capabilities. I'm a little mad at myself, they had Red Alert in stock but I skipped over him, now I'm a have to order him online .
I skipped BF this year. Last year me and my friend went shopping and he was going to buy a Ben 10 figure(last one they had), but while we started walking towards the cashier some dude came up and snatched the figure, and then disappeared in the crowd. That whole experience has ruined black Fridays for me, and I dont think I will go next year either.
Went back out to a different Wal-Mart with the lady tonight. Didn't pick up any toys or anything, but they still had a LOT of cheap DVD's and whatnot. We picked up: Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 1 & 2 - $12 each Gossip Girl Season 2 -$12 Green Lantern: First Flight - $1.96 Hot Chocolate mix - $1. Not bad, considering the only things we actually grabbed in person we got at 7pm.
decent got a new Kodak camera for my mother and bought myself Brutal Legend for $10 a few other games too but nothing special. lines werent too bad either I got there pretty damn early didnt find any of the new TFs though
It was pretty fun, I stayed out in front of a best buy all night once but this was the first time I went to a walmart at midnight, got some great deals on blu rays and dvds, ran into some people I know. Overall I had fun
Didn't go out to get any presents today. They're mostly done already. I did pick up PCC Crankstart, PCC Stakeout, WFC Autobots DS, Lego Batman DS, and Lego Star Wars saga DS.
Not too bad, got to Micro Center about 10 minutes before they opened(8:00). 150 people were in line in front of us, still got everything we wanted. Nabbed a netbook for my sister, 1 TB external HD, and a couple of 16 GB SD cards. We were in and out in about 30 minutes.
i learned the hard way that my sister, unlike the Marines, likes to leave her folks behind. 2 years and 2 times she's pulled out on me. she left me stuck in a line at Walmart last year. as in, she left the store, went across town and ate breakfast while i waited for a Nintendo DS Lite. This year, i call her to tell her i am waiting for her to pick me up since i have yet to buy her kids and her hubby a gift. she answers and tells me she is already in a city 30 miles away, telling me i'd slow her down. maybe so, but i had a list and budget. do i love Black Friday? hot by a damn sight, but the things you can find even in the chaos is too good to pass up. so i gotta go shopping next weekend when my neighbor plans to go. sis gets a bag of Kingsford for christmas this year.
Yeah, I don't do Black Friday. Insane crowds aren't really my thing. I do most of my shopping online anyway.
Strangely Amazon.co.uk was participating in Black Friday, so I thought 'why the hell not' and jumped in! Got myself the following: - Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition for the PC - Mass Effect for the PC - Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3 - X-men Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD - The Gender Studies Student's Primer to Buffy the Vampire Slayer - and a shed load of art supplies for my wife All of this will be waiting at my parents' house when we go to the UK in 2 weeks to spend Christmas. I fragging love internet shopping, it's a lifesaver out here in Bolivia.
I went out yesterday. sadly my local stores walmart, target & kmart. showed zero signs of bulking up the TF section in preparation for black friday. these 3 stores had nothing new & the same exact stuff that was sitting on the shelves/pegs for weeks/months.
My mom went to the states for Black Friday, I never come though as she's shopping for my and other people presents. BTW yestrerday was a snow day here in Ottawa.
