Pretty impressive, But I must agree that this company has a bad habbit of stealing designs. They even make PR knock-offs even the untoucheble veritech design.

Based on the veritech concept but used on a different jt than the Tomcat. Looks like a decent Decepticon

I do believe that that's based on the YF-17 from Macross Plus.

If they'd make a VF-2SS from Mac 2, I'd be all over it.

 

Yeah, that is a really bad looking knock off of the VF-17 "Nightmare" that was first introduced in Macross 7 (also seen in some of the various Macross games). The toy itself is cool but no where near the standards of articulation/complexity of an alternator. Truthfully though, the mecha designs from Macross/Robotech are a good place for HasTak to start looking if they do want to make Alt/BT jets.

 

and also.... while I wish the scale was 1:24 to match the alts, I'll be all over these the instant I find some way to buy them. Alts are cooler, sure, but these are still nifty. They'd also make good kitbash fodder, and its alt-like, which is good enough for me.

 

Listen guys, the odds of Has Tak expanding their line to include the 1/18th and 1/12th scale would be impossible. In their eyes, they would never sell. So, if you wanted the alts in different scale you better hope to whatever god you believe in that no one sues them.

 

Those actually look cool.

If I find them... and the quality is good enough (I hate it when I transform something at it doesn't hold), I might get those.

Just an FYI, I've e-mailed them asking if there are any US retailers that will be carrying these guys...

I'll post the response as soon as I get it... 

 

Checking the Botcon proto pics. there's a lot of little detail differences between it and this thing, but the similarities are dangerously close. Even the head looks kinda similar.

 

Didn't they claim that they were licensed??
 

Whilst I find them interesting, I'll be skipping them all on a point of principle, this REALLY bugs me.

On top of which, a Drag Strip Ford GT now seems very very unlikely.
