After grabbing Jazz and Tracks, I thought I should go back and at least take pics of fallback and Mindset for those interested. Here ya go!

Fallback's bio pic was blurry, so rather than post it I'll type it in:

Fallback "Fallback has never been particularly interested in following the rules. The fastest way between two points, after all, is a straight line. Given a destination, Fallback will gladly drive straight to it, smashing through or knocking over anything that gets in his way."

I thought Fallback would be more like an explorer or remote location guy than a destruction derby dude.

I like the brawn colors & character persona better on this mold.

I honesly am not a fan of that deluxe tank/bot mold. as i'm not a fan of the sculpt/design of the mold & toy engineering in either mode

Mindset is kind of interesting bio-wise. Also he looks eerily like Straxus.

I like "Fallback" way too much considering I have Brawn. Maybe cause my girlfriend is part Australian? I might even sell Brawn and keep this, something about the colors I dig.

Plus, I'd like a toy Brawn that looks like animation!Brawn, whereas I don't really care what Outback looks like cause I'll take whatever I can get. He's not a bad reference to toy!Outback. And his pistols aren't the same color as his arm, a plus.

Or maybe I'm just justifying my desire to order the set of Jazz and Fallback from the TFCC.

For some reason I think that mold fits Outback (Fallback, whatever) a lot better than Brawn. A new head would work better, but it fits the character.

These tech specs suck. How is Jazz not a 9 or 10 in skill, and how is his rank an 8? I know the bios don't really mean much, but how is Jazz and Tracks for that matter so low. Tracks was very capable in the G1 cartoon, and there is no excuse for Jazz's stats. At the end of the day, tech specs don't matter, but it just seems silly seeing these two with such bad stats.

Seems to me Fallback is the only one that stays true to the "spirit" of Reveal the Shield. His bio is completely faction-neutral, giving no hint to him being an Autobot. Mindset's could have worked without the mention of Decepticons, but his "opposed to change" attitude would probably still give him away as an Autobot.

But the whole point is moot anyway when there's a BIG faction symbol right at the top above their bio.

    :lol

It's a common confusion... Transformers Outback (that this guy is based on) was a Gunner... so there's no exploration aspect to his character, other than the fact that he thinks roads are for sissies. :)

GIJOE Outback, on the other hand, was the team survival and wilderness expert.

Despite all the kibble, I really like this figure... but personally, I think the first Brawn version of this mold is close enough to Outback for me. The repaint feels unnecessary. Now if they did something radical, like giving him a black/purple/yellow repaint, and making him an homage to Insecticon Bombshell, THAT would be something I would get behind! :)

Mindset's bio is sort of interesting... I'm also surprised that they bothered to give this guy a different headsculpt! Impressive, Hasbro. I might actually buy this mold this time around. The blue is oddly appealing. :)

I stared at Mindset's head in that pic for a good 5 minutes wondering if it was in fact a new sculpt. My hailstorm only lasted about a minute before I decapitated him and added a TFTM Longarm head to start making a RTS Warpath.......

Mindset's bio amuses me. They made him into an Autobot here, but he's an homage to a G2 "Cybertronian," (a faction that used the G2 Decepticon logo but considered it apart from the Autobots and Decepticons). Now, even though he's an Autobot, his bio sounds a lot like Jhiaxus' personality and motivation, which is where the Cybertronian homage finally makes sense.

It is a new head. I think KOTOYS.com's Transformers News forum has a side-by-side comparison. Mindset's head has fewer points on it, and a more humanoid face.

Still, the heads are so similar, that it almost defeats the point of having a remolded head.

No, it's Fireblast. Our Resources section doesn't have the option to have two names for the same stat right now.
