Damn it, really wanted to get this version, but with the shipping and more than possible customs charges it wouldn't be worthwhile
You guys aren't getting him over there? If you're on the fence about ordering from BBTS, they're actually not jacking up the price on this for some reason. The $55 they have it listed for is one of two prices that it goes for on TRU shelves ($50 & $55 depending on which TRU you walk into over here). Shipping has to be a bitch with this big ass guy though.
Well TRU UK may just spring a surprise on us yet, but it's doubtful. Only place I've seen the standard version was at the comic shop, but the asking price is £70 ($112) which i might still go for yet. And yes, shipping would probably work out at around $60, maybe a little more.
Am I the only person who likes the original version better? The brighter colors just seem more comic book-ish to me.
From the looks of it I think you'll be able to get one for a long time if you want.. maybe even catch a post-holiday sale. All the TRU's by me have plenty.
Indeed. On the one hand it would be nice to grab a cheap Galactus, if they end up not selling very well we might not see Sentinel.
Don't do it! I heard that there will be revisions cases next year and Thanos would be in one of them. I haven't spotted any Wave 11 yet too in FL, but I'm sure they'll come later in November or possibly before Christmas.
If it helps at all, I found Thanos at a comic shop and paid $15 for him. Unless that's actually a decent price considering whatever he goes for right now.
Actually that probably IS decent for a comic shop, and also probably the most I'd consider paying for him. The Marvel Select version's still pretty easy to find & goes for $20-$25 around here, so yay price/size ratio!
I found a lone Iron Man 2020 at my local TRU yesterday & asked a clerk to see if they might have more from the same wave. He scanned the figure & said there was 1 case in the back & he'd have it brought up, which was awesome! Unfortunately, TRU seems to catalog MU figures under the same SKU, because the case that came up was full of pre-Skrull wave figures (Extremis IM, House of M Spidey, etc.) So while the Mission Viejo, CA Toys R Us is great for customer service, it didn't pay off this time, haha.
Man, after reading the past few posts, I'm glad the only toy in the wave that I wanted was Iron Man 2020 (grabbed the only one in the area, too).
