Not trying to argue with you, but didn't Hasbro confirm it's WFC continuity?

I thought we were getting 2 30 minute back to back episodes and then getting the 5 part thing afterword. I guess I read the last news wrong.

Takara claims that all/most TF lines are in the same continuity.

Really, TF Prime is only going to fit in with the Exodus novel, and it'll be interesting if we see any flashbacks to those events in the show itself, but there is no way that the actual game itself will mesh with the new show.

From the same guys saying Zeta Prime is really Sentinel Zeta Prime just so Exodus and WfC can fit together somewhat. There's a difference between what they're saying and what you can see by playing/watching, with WfC as the prime (hohoho) example since Tieger continuously mentioned Highmoon had put together WfC all by themselves as a revisited G1-inspired prequel and then pitched it to Hasbro, ie they'd never had their hands on that story bible that's supposed to define that new transformers continuity.

So for at least the games, it's apparent the continuity with Prime was not an intent of the game makers and any pretense of it has been purely on Hasbro's side, and it's really just shoehorned in.

If Prime fits with Exodus it´s a reason for me to get the book.

Hasbro said so, though, and yeah, while the game doesn't fit in, Exodus seems to be able to.

High Moon Studios' views are non-canon and somewhat dubious. They're the same people who said that WFC is a prequel to the G1 cartoon, when it's not.

Jazz appears in the campaign as one of the prisoners in the cell block. When you open the cells, he and Arcee can be seen directing the other prisoners to escape routes.

Here's how they'll tie it all in. WFC characters come to earth, watch the bay movie and change alt modes to fit with the local celebrities. Then they find the G1 ark crash landed and somehow Megs and OP get ahold of some TF bibles left behind when the beast era guys left. And then Sumdac makes a kid bot that's a head-power-target-master minicon with an energon cyber planet key made of the allspark that looks like unicron. It all fits!!!!

I think people are just a wee bit too caught up in continuity.

Animated didn't fall in the Beast Wars continuity yet we still ended up with Waspinator and Blackarachnia.

Just seems like Transformers Prime is taking in too many elements from too many places to ever say it fits nicely into any continuity except for the one it forges for itself.

But actually what Tieger said is they had used G1 as their primary inspiration, which is not the same thing. It's one of the journalists that did that podcast (the one with the first sample of music) who simplified that to "it's a G1 prequel"

Yes, that's what we would assume if it hadn't been stated by Hasbro people that it shares WfC's continuity. Except maybe not. That's the whole problem.

Tf Prime season 1 is 26 episodes.

The first five we know about + 21 episodes.

Apparently every season will be 26 episodes long because believe it or not making MORE EPISODES in CGI actauly means you got it cheaper.

He probably will at some point. Hopefully in this set of 26. If not, then the next.

Yup, and since this goes from exodus not the games, it's fine.

Exodus is in continuity to Prime, until the show proves otherwise, which is unlikely since Exodus uses the same movie variations to the story that Prime is going to use. Those things were absent from the games.

So far at least, but sometimes story conflicts could say otherwise. *cough* G1 *cough* but it uses Exodus if anything. Exodus uses movie-like events just like prime alludes to.

Exodus is, the console games and DS games aren't.

Yeah, it's Exodus it uses if any of them. They were all different. They've also said this is an amalgam universe though. So elements of G1, movie-verse and so on have happened, but not quite the same. So Jazz could already be dead, or may not have died in this universe, since it's only movie-like. Just like Exodus uses Movie-like events too.

Exodus didn't make Bee or jumper anything like the ones you play in the games. So those won't matter. Besides, all of them were different from each other. DS, Console, and book all different. Since the book doesn't have 'designs' just what you think they look like, they can still look the same as the book, unlike the games that are a visual medium.

Yup. Exactly. Exodus even ripped Bumblebee's voice box out like the movie-verse and prime use.

I'll have to check that out myself now, I never saw that before.

It's Exodus, so yeah it can. The console games and DS game though? Not likely. Hasbro has already said it is in canon. It's not the same as making G1 the movie continuity. It's just expanding on the amalgamated universe Exodus already uses. Which includes movie-like events like BB's voice, and the allspark.

Technically Tony did. Though Hasbro has said previously it is as well back when Prime was announced, but has been mum on it since.

That's why the Exodus book says on the cover "The true story of the war for cybertron". It's the book that's with prime, not the games. Tieger was making a G1 game, it's supposed to fit mildly with G1 with some reaching points created to balance out the classes and flight level.

You should. It sounds like it'll fit with Exodus nicely. Exodus also has references to movie-like cybertron events that'll allow it to fit.

That's because Exodus takes elements from all over the place as well, and was written with the series bible in mind. The game was not. The game is seperate than the book. Just as the games are seperate to each other, like DS to console.

We're also supposed to be getting more books down the line too. So it seems Exodus is the path they are taking.

    Ah well, count me excited.
