Clone Wars has good lighting and Special effects, but the character animation is stiff and abysmal. You'll find better acting rigs on an episode of the Thunderbirds.

Have you seen the short clips of the human acting from TF rime? WAY WAY WAY better and more appealing Clone Wars IMHO. The Robot's acting seems okay - not in love with Optimus' mouth but that's a design issue, not an animation issue.

From what I've seen this animation will be better than Clone Wars - but that aint saying much....

 

looks good but it would have been nice too see some transforming sequences. it looks like they skipped over bumblebees and bulkhead jumped out of frame. oh well i'll just have to wait.

 

the last trailer made me lose interest, this made me want to watch it again. Bulkhead looks pretty BA

 

i can't wait for the 26th just hoping that i'm home.

 

The animation looks extremely good in this video, imho. Pretty much on-par with what we've seen before this. I'm really looking forward to this show. At this point there is really only one design I have any issues with, Optimus, but at the same time it's really only the windows on his chest. They look like TV screens taped to his chest, tbh. Even then I imagine I'll get used to them.

Hopefully the writing is good enough to back up the animation. While I'm not completely against Orci and Kurtzman, I can't pretend I'm not worried. They've done some good stuff before, but I would feel more confident if they had chosen more competent writers.

 

I never thought I'd say this, but FINALLY there's a 3-D cartoon taking the crown from Beast Wars in the animation department. Don't get me wrong, Beast Wars has amazing animation (especially for the time it came out), but by today's standards, it's not that hard to beat.

Plus, there's that scene of Bumblebee jumping from the bridge onto the Decepticon drones - it looks MUCH more detailed than the brief clip we got of it earlier this year, so these guys are really putting forth some effort. It looks like they can do much more, but seeing as how these are from the first couple of episodes, there's a good chance it'll get much better, much like Beast Wars did.

 

Oh I definitely like this! The animation looks better than I originally thought it might be. LOL! Bee looks cute with those eyebrows. XD Browformers anyone?  

 

I think it looks pretty damn good! For a CGI stand point, I know exactly how hard it is to get character to look and move realistically. The animation looks very slick and kinetic. And yes, Bulky is sooooooo bad ass! Finally a Bulkhead that somewhat fits with the classic and movie aesthetic! Color me sold.

 

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's the theme song. Haven't you noticed how it's played in every promo since the Comic-Con one?

 

Cullen sounds amazing as usual!! Character designs are mediocre, though it's nice to see Bulkhead again. If story ends up being as good as Animated I should be happy. It looks like the movie kinda   ... but no bugfaces yet so I'm relatively cool. SHOW ME AN AMAZING STORY!

Gawd damn, that looks sweet!

 

So I just saw some of the new LEGO Hero Factory TV show on YouTube and, honestly, its animation kicks TF Prime's butt. What the crap? Beast Wars looked about as good as Prime and that was OVER TEN YEARS AGO. I really, really want to like this show. I would love a new TF show with great stories and characters, and of course we haven't seen enough to know anything about the show yet...

But everything we do see just reaffirms my feeling that this show is just a quick movie cash-in until TF3 comes around to swamp toy shelves. Whatever happened to Hasbro's mentality for one new universe that would continue for at least five years? This certainly isn't the trumpet and fanfare that accompanies that sort of franchise-revolutionizing idea.

 

i do agree with that ~ whats a little discouraging is that the models (like BBs car mode in this ad) look really low-poly and under detailed. The backgrounds also seem extremely sparse...

A positive though, is that the camera work is spectacular, very 'filmic' in quality. those CG shows of recent yester-year (i.e. Beast Wars, Reboot and that ilk) always had terrible and unrealistic camera movement that really distracted me from the goings-ons.

will have to see more then 30 seconds to decide if the pros outweigh the cons in that regard.

 

     WHATS UP TO ALL TRANSFORMERS COLLECTORS. I HAD A TALK WITH ONE OF THE BIGGETS TRANSFORMERS COLLECTOR IN THE CALIFORNIA CENTRAL VALLEY WHO IS MY BEST FRIEND. HE AND I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT WE HAVE TO BE HAPPY REALLY HAPPY. WITH THIS NEW TRANSFORMERS PRIME SERIES, WE WILL GET NEW TOYS. YES, I CAN SAY THAT THIS ANIMATED OPTIMUS IS AWWWWSOME, BUNBLEBEE TOO,.

This series is reminding me a lot about Clone Wars.

The environments are pretty bare, but with all shows they will get better as the seasons progress.

I am officially excited.

I hope that Cullen has the opportunity to voice a heroic and noble Prime again. I want to get as far away from the ultra violent, face-ripping psycho of the live action movies.

will someone bring in the animation comparisons to beast wars to show these people it is 10 times better, i see this and think it looks amazing, i don't see how people can say it don't look amazing....i guess people don't like awesome things
