I am still on the fence about getting the CrazyDevy parts for Predaking. An articulated head for $40 and a wing add on for $60 are just too much for me. I rather have something that can make the Combiner more articulated before I'd pluck down the cash for it.

 

30 bucks for a chest piece and gun here >.>. This is exactly why I cant/wont get into devy parts, no matter how much I like them..

The "tease" for CDMW-13 finally ends with a pre-order for a wider sternum and a longer gun for a G1 Superion figure that needs improvement over its original design. True the piece meal way they sell is irritating, but aside from the Predaking Wings, their parts are built well and make a big difference.

 

I was so excited for the Crazy Devy Superion upgrades, but have been underwhelmed with every release so far

If they make a better crotch piece that make Superion stand up better and not be top heavy, I might get the complete set.

Well, while I'm at it, may as well spring for a God Sword... 

 

Any idea what the "secret bonus" might be? What could they add that would go with the previously released head?

On a side note, while these upgrades have been costly, the end result is really spectacular. For someone who doesn't have the skills to even post in Radicons, these upgrades are a real blessing.

 

Maybe a faceplate attachment?

These guys are a joke when it comes to there pricing. There stuff may look cool but the prices they ask for the stuff is a joke. Ill buy the Knockoffs when they get released, at least those will be sold in a full set and not all seperate.

 

I can't wait until they release resculpted toes for Superion for $70.

 

I cant wait for the sculpted hand with kung fu grip for 90$ will be awesome to be able to make him point a finger !!

 

If they did Kung Fu grip with the hand it would be $150.

they're really determined not to make the visor red, huh?  Still better than the original which made the face look chubby, IMO. I'll pick it up since I really want my Superion to look better

 

I really don't understand the hate for these guys.

They are taking junk g1 toys and making them something you can be proud to have on a display.
My G1 devastator was great as a classic piece. I spent another $150 and it is now a freaking beautiful piece, that looks like it came from the cartoon. Predaking is shaping up to be an amazing beast of a toy when it is finished. I can only imagine what they will do for Superion.

Also consider production costs, design costs, shipping fees, and profit for the creator of these masterpieces.

I know we all want to see $5 parts, but please stop bitching about it when you don't see it.
These guys charging what they do leads to bigger and better add-ons.
I say bring them on. Adding another $150 into a $100 combiner and getting something that is REALLY nice is fully worth it to me.

What it really comes down to is, we have no idea what the production costs of these are. They are in no way shape or form cheap. The materials are top notch. The quality is always perfect. Eveything I have from them is very solid and very nice. For all we know it costs $10-15 to produce these sets each, them you figure the costs of shipping, retailer mark-ups (you do get them cheaper from crazydevy btw) it just boils down to we don't know.
I won't bother going into what customizers charge, whether it be for toys, add-ons, etc.
I say as long as crazydevy is making my brickformers something I am really happy to look at, bring it on.

 

Well said sir!! We all know what we are getting into with CrazyDevy. And I agree Devastator is a whole different beast thanks to CD. If the price bugs you, move on.

On another note.... I like that faceplate!
