Looks like a good time to check Aldi grocery stores. They seem to be carrying 3rd wave HFTD deluxes (not many, but that may change) for $8.99. I found Terradive, Tomahawk, and Electrostatic Jolt at Aldi stores in Sugarcreek and Kettering (Dorothy Lane).
Man thats lucky. Me however, I found a Electro Jolt at Target by tri county. So that means I MISSED terradive and tomahawk! Freaking suckers....
He is so right! I bought Terradive and Tomahawk today at my local Aldi for $8.99 a piece! Cheaper than Target! So far Terradive is freaking sweet, my hip joints are tight, but sadly one of his shoulders doesn't tab in properly.
Went back home to Toledo to vote today and went on a bit of a hunt. Ended up coming home with the last Red alert from Oregon Walmart and the last WFC Soundwave from Airport Target. Couple of interesting sightings to share: -Monroe St. TRU has a couple each of Firetrap and Sunspot, along with a smashed up Red Alert. -Alexis Rd. TRU Has a bunch of Animated Rodimus and Ironhide, first time Ive seen them in the wild, but lack of interest in Animated kept them on the pegs. - Checked Aldi on Airport hoping to find Terradive or Tomahawk with no luck, but the did have a bunch of Axor and the deluxe Ratchet repaint. Quick rant, its kinda sad that I have to drive all the way to Toledo to find anything considering I work at Walmart in Napoleon in the Electronics/Toy department, but my store (and all the stores in this area) are choked with WFC Prime and Bumblebee. The computer has said we have a couple cases on order for weeks and we just cut the Transformers section in half to give space to Tron crap, so where we once had a room and therefore need for more product, everything is filled beyond shelf caps. So yeah.../rant
I like Tomahawk better personally. Terradive is one of those "awesome vehicle, iffy robot" toys for me, much like a lot of ROTF-era toys.
Found Blurr and Dirge at Walmart in Xenia yesterday. Nothing else of note, which means WFC Megatron still eludes me. May have to make a trip to Aldi's to see about a Terradive and a Tomahawk.
The Walmart on Georgesville Rd in C-Bus received 2 case of Genline wave 3. There was at least 3 Blurr's and 3 Dirges and 2 WFC Megs and Soundwaves as of 3:00pm. Nothing else yet.
Target has a $20 coupon for the large AT-AT in a mailer, they are also advertising the pcc's at $20 so it looks like they have no plans to follow walmart or tru. I made it to my aldi off ridge. They had 3 tomahawks and 4 terradives (3 terradives now because I bought one). ($8.99 ea) Neither of the two scream awesome like the pictures for upcoming characters we've recently been seeing, but both seem worthy, the only reason I passed on tomahawk was because I hate his head but like the one on his repaint (as seen from the directions, I have yet to see any sort of color pallet) it's got that youthful inexperienced look that in the cartoons means he will the the 'human interest' guy buddying up with the obnoxious children or acting like one There was a sticker on the top of the package covering up the chocking hazard warning
I May have to stop at the ALDI in Westchester (less then a mile from tylersville/ Cox Rd Target) to see if they have these (as I'm still in the process of slowly catching up from my time gone). If I go I will report my findings. ~AAD
Couldn't find Classics Blurr locally. Then I spotted one today -- a fellow TFW2005 friend sent it to me as an early Christmas present. Wow!
Generations restock at the local Wal-Mart here in Athens-- 2 Blurrs, 3 Dirges, and 1 Cybertronian Megatron in stock.
Available NOW! Go check out the Dayton mall Walmart, 1 Dirge, 2 blurrs, tomahawks, terradives WFC Megatron, Darkmount. All on the $9 roll back. What are you doing still reading this. GO GO GO. I may get flamed for this but I think this Dirge kicks the crap out of botcon version.
Most Walmarts here in C-Bus have already placed their TF's lines on Roll-Back for the Holidays! The Big Bumblebee, Leader Class and the deluxe lines.
