In general I consider the term "Seeker" to be Fan-term and it didn't even officially exist as a proper description for Starscream et al until around the time of Takara's Modern Generation One promotions, and when Hasbro started using it in recent years on bios as such.

(& Yes I know about Blaster's Comic reference to a Decepticon Hunter Seeker).

I guess I just don't think of Thrust, Dirge & Ramjet as "Seekers" even if I was of a mind to use the term in the first place - which I'm not.

I guess it's because they are Jonny come lately's I don't generally lump them in with Skywarp, Thundercracker, Starscream, Decepticon (Jet) Troopers & Sunstorm etc... who are unmodified F-15s

Though the break up of Characters in the Movie Universe has thrown a Hand grenade into that idea by always making Ramjet identical to Starscream and Thrust & Dirge Different to each other and to Ramjet & Starscream and indeed to Thundercracker & Skywarp too.

I guess one reason to not use the term 'seeker' is it does not them preclude the use of other Decepticon Aircraft as part of Team Starscream even if it is mostly like that in reality. if subgroup terms are avoided then there less reason to stop say Needlenose, Darkwing & Dreadwind, Slugslinger, The Cyberjets, Windsweeper, Fearswoop, The Skyscorchers, or the Predators Jets flying with Starscream.

As soon as you start thinking of that cluster of F15s as being seekers they cease to be the Decepticon Airforce and become a team or set of sub-teams.

That might be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what your preferences are.

I guess I just think there's an argument to be had about mixing the characters up more.

It's probably coming from the same place that your misinformation that Generations is continuing is coming from.... assumptions.

We know molds exist and are being released. But past Generations Thunderwing/Skullgrin/CJ and RTS Jazz/Tracks/Mindset/Fallback, we have not seen anything in-package. So we don't "know" about what line figures are in or not.

We don't know that Wreck-Gar in the like will or will not be "Generations" or if it will or will not be "Yellow Card".

Given that the "Generations-style" molds Jazz & Tracks are RTS, I suspect everything will be yellow-card "RTS" from around Christmas time until movie3 toys come out. Yes, I don't "know" that, but you don't "know" they'll be on Generations cards either.

and neither did g1 ramjet, thrust, or dirge. but yet the classics figures do? its because g1 figures had no coneheads. but in the cartoon and comics those 3 were always coneheads.

Well, I'm sure you know but, the G1 mold was capable of both conehead & non-conehead transformations. With the Classics mold(& remold) it's one-or-the-other.

I would have really liked to have seen them use the full length cockpit so the toy was G2 accurate. It would also have improved the jet mode and just made it something different.

We still need a Thundercracker, Action Master or not. And Sunstorm, if that's not too greedy.

Pass... pass, pass, pass. I have never cared for the G2 formers. They never really fit in with my G1 figs.

Pete, since you're browsing... Are those going to be stickers or apps? I'd hate to see a beautiful club toy ruined by peeling or wearing stickers...

Congrats on being the first post for the story Jason. :thumb
And for the sake of conversation I will have that exclusive one way or another. I missed out on CP/P due to people being able to buy out ridiculous multiples. I will not lose out on this one!!!

Yes, that's what I was implying with the phrase "It was my impression..."; a complete and total assumption through logic. If you see a rub sign, perhaps its "shield" aka faction symbol will be revealed if you rub or heat up the sticker. Or maybe something else might happen - perhaps; through some kind of new technology, by rubbing or heating up the rub sign, an "official transformers club member" will magically beam in front of you and say, "This is actually officially part of the Generations line, proceed to play with your toy." Possibilities are indeed endless in theory (like the magic bullet; which is officially how JFK was killed). Pass on G2 Ramjet; BTW the G2 sound FX box you seek is actually your face.

Considering that Scourge and G2 Prime have faction symbols and not rub symbols, it's an educated theory that they're in Generations. Nothing seen yet on Wreck Gar or Perceptor.
