Yesterday, I had my best Escalation match ever. I've reached wave 42 and I could go higher... but I had to go to sleep, since I work. I don't know if it went higher than wave 43, but knowing the guys I played with, it's possible.

That was an awesome run though. I went to wave 35 today in Forsaken with CrimsonSpear, itskarl10, and MrGreen75 before I had to go run errands. My brother picked up where I left off after a few waves and says they all wiped out at wave 46. I think it was because my brother just sucks at WFC and probably was a hindrance to the team. LOL

..but who knows. I wasn't there..

 

Haha... well I believe it is impossible to make it to wave 30 by yourself, it just too many enemies for one person.

 

How many waves are there total in Escalation?

 

It never ends, I think - it keeps going 'till your team is dead.

 

..or your game crashes, which ever comes first, the game will probably crash should you manage to survive the real test of endurance.

 

Whyme101, xxlavaxx, myself, and shooter made it to wave 66 early this morning before we gave up. I will post more info and a screenshot of the final score when before we gave up. 66?! Wow, that's awesome. I hope I can reach wave 50 one day. We need to hook up on Saturday or Sunday. I may host the game, as my games tend not to crash.

 

Hop on the ventrilo server we use for voice chat during the game, and we can talk about it. You can find it over on the steam forums. We also sent you a message on these forums so check that out as well. We can go to 50, realitively easily now. Just according to how much time you got.

 

This always seems to be an issue. I know I don't always have time to run the marathons. I've had to quit many fine runs around 35 or 40 because of real life issues. I did skip class a few times though to pull out those 56 and 59 runs. Then there's the friends not being able to stick around forever leaving you to 3 or 2 man runs that may or may not be able to do it depending on who's in the game (i.e. Zeta, et al).

I wish you guys had access to the DLC maps. It would be fun to see how you guys fair in Pulse or Static although the strategy is basically the same everywhere. Find the best spot to camp and hold the fort down ad infinitum.

 

They should just make it so you can save your progress and continue on later with your buddies. From my observations, it seems that real life interruptions get in the way of getting real far in escalation. Well, that or the thing crashes unexpectedly.
