Okay, while I know we're all glad it didn't happen, you have to admit that the Transformers being part of the DCU would have made for a good/fun story here and there.

Here's one my roommate had that I think is pretty cool. Since DC doesn't seem to mind re-writing their history all that much, Krypton's descruction could have been caused by none other than UNICRON! And admit it, Unicron's coming to Earth would make a great "event" story.

So, what are some of your ideas?

 

I really think that had the Transformers been published by DC they would have kept it in it's own seperate continuity.

 

I think Unicron destroying Krypton would cause a synchronous explosion of "WTF?!?!" by DC fanboys across the globe...

Therefore, I am thankful that TFs are not part of DC continuity in such a capacity...

 

They might've considered a crossover like SUPERMAN/THUNDERCATS, though.

 

If the Transformers landed on the DC Earth then we wouldn't get much of a story. Either they'd all be mistaken for alien invaders and destroyed, or the Autobots would convince everyone they were good guys and only the Decepticons would be destroyed.

Sure, the Transformers are really big and powerful, but send them up against Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, and any of the Green Lanterns and they'd still get massacred.

no. this is a bad idea. with the way they have made batman into a batgod lately, being able to take everyone in the DCU out. i dont want to see batman get the matrix of leadership and turn into batimus prime.

Once the license expired, all the Transformers would be erased in some sort of Crisis miniseries, and all memories of them would be gone forever.

 

When DC was pursuing the rights, the big carrot they dangled in front of Hasbro was indeed full inclusion in the DC proper universe.

As has already been stated before, the TF's would have to be dealt with carefully, otherwise they would be a joke. I would imagine they would have to stay covert for a long time, especially once they saw what kind of earth they were on, and just how powerful some of the other heroes were.

Superman could pulverize any TF around, including Unicron. However, I could see interesting ideas, such as the decepticons discovering the effects of Kryptonite on him, and modifying their weapons as a result. Perhaps The Autobots could align themselves with the JLA, and the decepticons with the LOD.

Ofcourse, and final showdown would somehow include Batman. because you know, Batman always wins.

 

The batmobile would become a headmaster. XD

 

That WOULD be cool.

Maybe a crossover between IDW and DC would work. But not as a regular DC title.

 

It didn't work at Marvel and it won't work with DC. Remember Spidey appeared in an issue of Transformers and nothing came of it.

 

This is what I meant. We all know it couldn't work, but it's fun to think of the stories that could result from it if they were to try. That's all I'm looking for with this thread. Stuff like Nebolun Green Lanterns and the like.

Another idea my roommate had was the crisis in IC could be Unicron warping reality "because he does that now apparently. And that way instead of Earth 2 Superman, it could be Galvatron blowing the shit out of everything!"

Again, it's not like it's ever going to happen (thankfully), but it's fun to speculate.

And there is NO WAY Superman could destroy Unicron. "kthanxbye."

The Decepticons and Autobots are a wandering race of robots forever in search of a new homeworld, the Autobots have a benevolent ned to fit in, and in their own way, thru disguise amongst everyday transports of the world they are occupying, they live out a quiet homeostasis with the world they're on quietly keeping the Evil decepticons at bay. But when the Wandering Decepticons come across the planet Apokolips, they find that they want to completely re-make it into the new Cybertron and a war breaks out between Darkseid , while the New Gods, aware of the autobots existence across the cosmos call upon the green lanterns to seek out these autobots and find them hiding on many various planets, and most of them exist on Earth. yada yada yada, eventually they are blended into the multiverse and I would even possibly have superman use braniac's technology along with New God technologies and create a new world just for their unique existence, and THAT way they can exist within their own new harmless universe and at times traverse into the DCU when crises arise  

dumb, but my pitch works out...that's where the yada yada unfolds into this grand scheme.

 

actually, have any of you seen those issues where each of the JLA have mechs based on them (I don't believe it's out, I think I just saw it in a Previews)? It's like an unofficial Headmasters series. Same with Marvel and their Megamorphs title/toys.

 

Dammit, I kinda wanna see that now.

 

I'd pay to see Megatron transform into a total bad ass krytonite blaster and just completely rape Superman
