Yeah, Bumblebee can't get a replacement in to film the rest of his scenes. Guess they'll just have to write this in as his death scene.

They've been pretty nuts about covering Bee whenever they can...at least in Chicago. During one of the last filming days, I was amazed that they pulled him into an open space right by me. 10 seconds after they parked, the driver and another guy had gotten the cover out of the trunk and covered him up.

I had taken my kids to the American Indian Museum and walked out to see them shooting. I was right there when the accident happed. The one thing they are not explaining is that this was the second take. The first take the corvette was behind Bumblebee and lost control and spun around nearly colliding with a trailer. So the next time they put it behind Ironsides so it would not have to make a sharp turn. In between the 1st and second shoots, and ambulance also went through scene. It didn't seem like he knew what was going on. He got half way through then kind of slowed down by Optimus Prime looked at it confused then kept going. believe me it was a big mess!

 

This really upsets me, especially my inner 10 yr-old. I hope all involved are safe without injury but...

It's entirely the cop's fault! The street was closed for filming!

The cop 100% knew that it was a film set for TRANSFORMERS, and everyone knows it's a Michael Bay movie and therefore has cars and explosions.

So by claiming it was "the fastest route to reach the emergency", by no means was it the safest. Cast and crew were walking the area, a bunch of vehicles, and maybe even an explosion.

It's a sad story but it could have been a whole lot worse.

on teh fox 4 link......there looks to be a COP standin in teh middle of the street...just as the Police tahoe enters the set........is he wavin him off...? or casually lets him drive through?

How do you know what the cop knew? Did you read his mind? If so, how's he doing after being taken to the hospital?

Plus, it's not entirely his fault. There are multiple people involved in all the pieces that led up to this incident.

Damn that sucks. I hope the officer and his dog are ok also the stunt driver who drove Bumblebee. Will there be any charges filed against the driver?

I really don't think that cop had any clue where he was.....but man he just blasted his way through the camaro and didn't hardly get a scratch...poor bumblebee just crumbled like he was made out of dried leaves....bad omens bad omens I tells ya

 

michael bay was in dc today actually, along with shia, kevin dunn and judy white. They were filming near E street in DC

 

It might have, but I think the cop didn't know where is he at. The perimeter guards didn't pay attention to what they're doing, they are responsible for the security of the filming.

I didn't find anything depressing in that news clip (if that's the one you're talking about). Both drivers are okay, filming continued, and there's at least one other Bumblebee, if not more. What is there to be depressed about?
