    Levels with tanks in them:

    Broken hope: yes 15+
Forsaken: Unknown rumored to be wave 20+
    Pulse: Yes 1-2 and 14+

    Remnant: No
    District: No
    Static: No

    Con's don't get tanks.

I thought I posted a remnant strategy on here a while back....

Just have 2 cloakers (now you have 3 with the dlc) split up across the map where they can be near health vendors and ammo.
1-2 people that aren't cloakers camp in the health/scrapmaker room.

    Preferably:
    Demolisher (AB)
    Megatron (Drain)
    Soundwave (Barrier)
    Barricade (Barrier)

I devoted around 2 and a half hours with my friends on that map and we got to wave 22 on remnant. it's hard when people go lonewolf and you let people swarm your allies.

Static is a maze! It's so easy to get lost there.

Hey, where is the scrapmaker? I couldn't find it! Please help!!

    Thanks in advance.

i am probably wrong though as i spent 20 minutes searching for an ammo vendor lol

headsets is always a good idea as it allows better communication, only used it on a couple of matches but the communication between those using them was better than without,

I'm mostly a MP Conquest player, but as that has lately been dominated by Prime moders (people who've maxed Prime Mode) who run around bullying and stopping the rest of us just trying to level up, I've switched to playing Escalation. I'm used to being a team player, but when I try to stick with someone in random matches it always degenerates into me being solo just trying not to die. I've seldom used the mic mostly because almost everyone sounds like Stephen Hawking. I'm on 360 Shockwave1701 and have all the dlc if anyone's interested in playing later at night (I usually can't get on until about 11pm Pacific time). It would be nice to play a game where people are strategizing.

I'm a noob to Escalation but actually been warming up to it recently.

I like using Ratchet and Demolisher...

that said I need more time under my belt to really get a feel for what each character brings and does.

the "fan" in me wants to be Soundwave, Jazz, Ironhide and Thundercracker always but somehow one of the other 3 people I'm playing with snatch one of my favorites.

which is why I am expanding to Ratchet.

as far as contributing technique, I haven't any other than stressing Wave 8 and beyond....STAY TOGETHER

ratchet's abilities are useful, unlike some of the others, there are a couple characters i would never choose, they're just useless

Yeah, same here. Sometimes it really sucks if one ability is great but the other is useless. I use Jazz because both the barrier and the molecule bomb are useful. As much as I love Optimus Prime's Warcry, the dash is really not that useful at all.

From experience I want to say that if you open the turret room and stay there, you will definitely die. Everytime we open a door people stay there and get downed. Yesterday was the first time I bought Energon Genades though.

E-nades are best used by players that rarely/never get downed or have any combination of the following abilities:
    Cloak
    Barrier
    Dash
    Drain
    Turret
    Whirlwind

if an ally get's downed and is totally surrounded just toss a nade and lay covering fire. (the orb of healing near instantaneously renews your health so you can use certain abilities like whirlwind and dash with the safety net of heatlh)

From the first room, the temptation to open the door on the right side by the Ammo Station is there but avoid it. Instead go to the left side, there are two doors there, one to the right and one in front of you when you enter that room.

Do not open the door to the right, ever, instead, open the one directly in front of you. This will also give you access to the room with the Overshield Station but more importantly control the flow of enemies going into this room in the later waves with a greater distance of travel between you when it will be important. Do not open the other two doors since they will provide protection for you in later rounds and they basically all lead to the same room so you're wasting points.

Upon entering the Overshield room there will be a 500-550pt door on the left side where the Magma Frag Launcher is located on the left side of that room. Upon entering this room, to the right side, will be the room that leads to the Scrapmaker.

Should run you roughly about 1500pts total.

From there, if you follow the path and open the door straight ahead you will find the Healing Ray. The room where the Healing Ray is located is good for camping and similar to the first room I told you to open. It's a great place to camp so long as you do not open any other doors. If you open the other doors you will be bombard with enemies from all sides and die a miserable death that you deserve for displaying such stupidity. LOL

I strongly encourage you to become familiar with the Magma Frag Launcher if you want to get far in Escalation. Learn how to use it, and use it well, you can destroy entire clusters of enemies if you aim accurately or know where to place the grenades it launches. It's one of the better ways to rack up serious points and survive many waves in Escalation.

Is that in District? Which map are you talking about?

    That's an excellent observation.

I only keep healing grenades to heal the guy who's carrying the healing repair ray since he's bound to 1 attack weapon and usually has to stay back (if he's smart). Still, they are convenient and try to use them only if the person down is being bombarded by swarms of enemies. I'll toss a grenade and start firing frag's or whirlwind the hell out everyone there (and cloak if I am Skywarp while doing it to avoid receiving any damage).

I personally believe that it is essential to always have 1-2 people who have whirlwind to take out Brutes should you get caught in a one-on-one situation or if you're the last man standing to survive a wave. For this reason, I favor Air Raid and Skywarp first and foremost since you can whirlwind and then activate cloak and be invincible for the duration of the attack. There's nothing worse than seeing those two wasted on a person who doesn't know how to use them effectively.

i never remember to use whirlwind when i have a character with it, i can survive most waves solo with a scout (as long as everyone didn't die really early)

Oh I mean in Broken Hope. Don't stay in the turret room. Every time my team does we die. The Overshield room is key.

You can also use the jump and stomp (on the pack) method too, but whirlwind does wonders if there are two or more brutes.

I've been practicing on solo matches. Usually manage to get to wave 4/5 before something stupid happens and I die. Mostly been playing Skywarp on Remnant and generally do pretty well.

I don't like playing as Decepticons. I groan when they come up. Maybe it's the maps because The Autobots own seems better.
