look, enough of the insults, I take back the statement then. its still a ridicous deal, but apparently exaggerations aren't taken well.

I understand exomega's reaction. As far as toy purchases go, this one is a pretty bad "burn." Especially if this Rodimus has clear windows. As it stands, I'm having a hard time justifying a purchase of that 3-pack now. Galvatron is the ONLY reason you buy that set. Otherwise, you are going to get more bang for your buck via the 2-pack.

 

The whole "premium" thing with the first movie was worst for me   But yeah, it suck.

 

I got the originals releases, the C@C set, and I'll happily get this too. Can never have too many Roddys and Cycs as far as I'm concerned. And I also want to show Hasbro some appreciation for all the stuff they've done this year.


And really, no one should feel bad if they picked up C@C set recently. One, no one knew this would happen. Two, you get an exclusive Galvatron, even though some might not consider it that great. Three, if what is rumored to be true, this set might have another exclusive deco changes.

And yeah it does suck...if you bought the 3-pack. If not, it's a pretty good price.

 

at that time, I wasn't collecting movie figures, but I can see how that can be raged. I am trying to cancel the order of the 3-pack from BBTS while its still in my PoL. It should still be within 15 days of policy, but we will see. Rita was nice to me last time.

This is great, I really wanted that Cyclonus and somewhat Rodimus and now I can it without having to pay for Galvatron too.

 

But the set in the picture has a painted windshield. I'd say that's just a picture of the 3-pack for sales purposes, but it has a rubsign on it, so it's different.

 

Does anyone know anything about a retail release? Exclusive?

Well, that is just a mockup picture with the rubsigns. So I wouldn't be surprised if the pictures of the official product are different.

All I know is this: if the windshield is indeed clear, I will be all over this 2-pack.

To be honest, I'm surprised that of a condensed 3-pack into a 2-pack that the worst toy was actually removed. Considering the big showdown at the end of the original movie between Galvatron and Hot Rod that involved the Matrix, I've thought that Cyclonus and Nightstick would have been removed.

As tempting as that Matrix is, I honestly still want the 3-pack because Cyclonus is the one I already own and I get a little more bang for my buck if I get two new figures as opposed to just one and a Matrix. Either way, this does allow for more Hot Rods for collectors, so Hasbro/Takara/whoever makes these sets is going to cash in big for the Protector armor release.

I gotcha  . I like how the original release windshield looks. Far superior to that painted horror from the Challenge 3-pack.

 

I couldn't agree more...it defeats the purpose of having a nicely molded interior.

 

Is anything else different that you know of? Paint apps or anything?

 

Do you at least know if it will retain the "anime colors" deco? Or will there be a third deco for these?

 

Well that would explain the drastic difference in price between this and the 3 pack.
