No word on a gold / silver one yet, but I think it's a given we'll see a LD version of him eventually.

Transparent version, back in July there was a two pack released called Sons of Cybertron. There's a crystal version of Rodimus in that set.

As far as having these things on HTS - Hasbro likes to respect the exclusivity of Takara's limited edition items, so the odds are fairly slim of that happening. I'm not saying "never" but I'm saying "highly unlikely".

 

As cool as that would be, I seriously doubt this will be the case. SG is an idea/universe specific to the TFCC and Fun Publications... while Hasbro/Takara probably COULD co-opt it if they wished to, I bet they'll stay out of that and leave it with FP.

Hasbro did co-opt Nexus Prime and the name "Fallback" from FP, but I'd be really surprised if they dipped into SG. I bet this will just be a regular old black and red repaint.

 

Yup. Takara doesn't even acknowledge BotCon it seems, so they won't be stealing their ideas (though they often produce similar things and in the case of ROTF G2 Dreadwing & Smokescreen, even compete with them). But I recall in their collection books they never show a BotCon figure as part of the series.

So any way, yeah, it won't be Shattered Glass with a goatee, etc.

$200? Not a chance. What makes you say that? I've managed to get many Deluxe-sized Japanese mail-away exclusives before (through middle men) for way under $200. It will be expensive, no doubt, but not *that* high.

 

^ Word. Black Optimus, who is a Voyager, cost me barely over $100 including shipping.

And @lars573: I'm guessing MegaHavok's post was aimed at the fact that Pravus Prime said it "looks good" when all we've seen is the silhouette.

 

I think there will be another exclusive figure for another magazine next month.
But I could be wrong about that.

 

I wouldn't be surprised. Especially if we didn't already have a Black Animated Optimus.

Powered-up Armorhide seems like a no-brainer. Just hope they do silver paint rather than chrome.

 

To clarify, I know that's not what it's going to look like, just the idea of a Black Animated Rodimus is nifty. The Crap is in reference to my brokeness and that this won't be $20.
