Sense when did American men ever become grown and wise? Hahahaha ;)  I mean we still all play with toys.

I wonder if thats our stereotype in Japan, "Young grasshopper visit men in camper when get to America, he be very wise"

With all this 'growing up' nonsense, I can only assume the next version of Roddy Prime will come with a morgage and several ungrateful children.

    Heh.

See, I kinda understand the intended metaphor with his vehicle modes.

A high powered sports car is the symbol of the irresponsibility of youth, of wild abandon. You just blaze past the world without settling down.

A camper van, on the other hand, represents a more introspective version of that. The sense of adventure is still there, but it also represents a slowing down of perception, taking in all of the experience around you, rather than just blowing by them.

So in a way, it does symbolize Hot Rod's growth into Rodimus Prime quite well.

Galvatron is very likely. Cyclonus? Not so much.

I love how passionate those takara designers are about their transformers characters/toys. MP Rodimus prime's toy appears to be a example of this.

...this kinda explains why every time I looked @ Rodimus all these years, I've had the urge to build a Winnebago that looked like Rodimus in my golden years..with detachable electric "Hot Rod"...

maybe I shouldn't have shared that..
