Heres a couple shots of my grimlock costume for halloween this year.

It's fully transformable from robot to dino, very similar to the toy, but the legs transform a bit differently.

I was wondering if anyone had some good artwork of grimlock, especially featuring his sword I'm still figuring out what I'm gonna make his sword look like so any references would be very helpful :D

oh and one thing you can't see in that forearm piece, theres a piece that slides in and out so my fist can fit inside of it when I transform to dino mode.

the legs actually transform differently from the toy, so I'm resting on my knees and hands, with my legs sticking up at a 90 degree angle.

Just finished the tail / legs, it's looking pretty cool, I'll have to get some more pics up tomorrow.

    Is that Styrofoam?
Mostly asking, because I'm kinda getting stumped on my own costume.

Nope, normally I build it out of that pink polystyrene foam you can get from home depot. This year however its all cardboard.
I used double layered cardboard, and then covered all the pieces with a paperesque packing tape that has threads of fiberglass running through it for added strength.

I use a boxcutter and measure all the pieces out before I cut. The trick to getting the nice edges is to use the packing tape to give the illusion of nice perfect edges.
