i wish there was a way to ban talk of mp rodimus from protector threads and vice versa....

they are two separate things that fill two separate needs for collections, i got both on pre-order, and i am totally excited, this thing rocks

and hey, for once, i got the figure needed for the add-on

 

Very, very nice   This one looks very bad ass...I can only imagine how RIDICULOUSLY bad ass the Shadow Scythe is going to be  

 

Even if there is no add-on for this toy people will keep comparing toys with the name "Rodimus". Just like "Optimus Prime" and "Ultra Magnus" there are many out there who still think one version is better than the other. There is no real solution to this issue.

 

I have both preordered to, but think about it this way. Beyond the titanium one, there really hasn't been much in the way of having an actual Rodimus Prime. Now, we get two options releasing around the same time, and both at premium pricing for what you get and niether are being mass released at retail, at least in the US. So, yeah, they are way different in scope and design and concept, but they are way different in scope and design and concept of the same character coming out around the same time after a major drought of said character.

 

Does anyone care about this anymore?

It's talk like this that stirs up arguments. You can like one or the other but you shouldn't ridicule others for feeling the MP is better.

You are aware what "supplant" means, right?

I just said that the existence of MP Rodimus Prime doesn't invalidate the existence of Protector, because MP Rodimus doesn't, in the least, mingle well with the likes of City Commander, Defender, and the rest of the Classics lineup.

 

Transfans are starting to remind me of rap fans. you guys accept any crap offered by anybody. It honestly looks like a block of plastic.

 

For me, I'm buying this because it looks bad ass and it'll go great with my Classics. I'm getting MP Rodimus because he looks so amazing and frankly, I can't help myself.

My only complaint with Protector is the alt mode and that's just nit picking. Besides, he will be in botmode forever I think lol. I got City Commander when it first came out. I put the armor on Magnus and I haven't taken it off since. I kinda feel ashamed that I haven't lol.
