Man, I should have bought all the boxes I saw. I only saw two boxes and bought four.

I got the clown, nurse, robot, and magician.

You're still finding series 1 minifigs? I never had a chance to get any of those. I wanted the cheerleader, spaceman, robot, and the nurse just for the syringes.

Finished my collection of Wave 2 today. Got a few doubles along the way, which will probably end up on eBay at some point. The Vampire's cape is one of the fiddliest things I've ever had to deal with.

Picked up the Special Edition LEGO Magma Monster game set last night at Wal-Mart. Son, wife, and I had fun trying to get the treasure and not get sent back to start by the bats! These LEGO games are really good family fun! Think I will pickup the Hogwarts Castle game next.

Yeah, I would pay $2.99 for each figure last week @ TRU. Haven't spotted them @ Target yet, but I will check. Thanks for the heads up.

Just got a few of the series 2 minifigs. So far I have the weightlifter, surfer, cop, two vampires, the mime, the disco guy, the mexican and the spartan,
About the only one left from this series I want is the karate dude.

Also I've heard rumours about the next series not having the ID barcode on the back so you'll have to rely on feel. Thankfully my regular supplier sorts them for me that way as it is.

Oh yeah, and this is apparently the list for the next series, looking forward to seeing the samurai. (assuming this isn't complete BS)

There's some rumours for the 2011 sets up on EuroBricks - kinda scattered, so I don't have links, but two things I'm really excited for are a new Egyptian adventurers theme (coattails of Indiana Jones, I guess, plus the old Egypt sets were regarded as some of the strongest of the old Adventurers lot), and a new Space theme - as a City subset, as in, (relatively) non-scifi! Haven't seen that in quite a few years...

(Edit - here we go. Mostly speculation, but relevant posts)

All LEGO (minus Star Wars) are on sale this week @ TRU - buy 2 get 1 free. The wife picked up the Christmas Advent calendar this afternoon. Didn't know what other 2 sets to buy so I'll have to take the receipt back w/ me to the store later this week to buy one more set and get my freebie.

I've noticed that a bunch of those minifigs look awesome, but I don't have the room to keep buying and getting doubles. I heard a rumor that you can tell which you will get from the UPC, anyone know where I can find information about it?

Just do a google search for lego minifig series 2 barcodes. Just make sure you get the barcodes for the North America packaging and not Europe.

I went to Legoland Windsor last weekend for the first time. Its a very kid oriented place, pretty much all of the rides were very sedate, for an adult anyway.

It cost £38, but I had a buy one get one free voucher (which you can find pretty much everywhere) so that wasn't too bad, but I was there to go with a friend and his lot.

The Lego village was extremely impressive, seeing all those buildings in Lego was pretty amazing, and there were lots of in jokes. In the racing car track you could see the Top Gear team, on Canary Wharf there was a little Dalek.

In the repair workshop (in another area of the park) you could see Ecto-1 and the Ghostbusters sitting on a shelf along with the Blues Brothers car. Not sure why they weren't out.

When me and the wife first arrived at the park, we popped into the big Lego shop for a look around. The shop had a buy now, hold 'til later storeroom. I didn't take advantage of this at the time because my friend had an annual pass (his second trip this year) and with that comes a 10% discount. I went in, took a cursory look around and made a note of what I would buy.

Weirdly, there wasn't much exclusive stuff. It was mostly Lego you would find in shops elsewhere, which I thought was a little odd. I was expecting to see some internet items, like the new Imperial Shuttle, or even the Space shuttle set.

They did have a cool pick and mix section (it's the only way I can describe it, just pick the lego parts that you like, shove 'em in a bag and they'll weigh the bag at the till.) , which if they had a few more esoteric pieces I would have grabbed a few, but alas, the pieces were close to what I wanted, but not exactly. (ie, they had clear square studs, but I needed the dark grey clear studs, that kind of thing).

We then went round whole park, checked things out and went on a couple of rides. Ride wait was about half an hour to an hour each ride, and this was an off peak day (school term)! We were only there for a few hours, because I have to work weekend mornings. At the end of the day we went into the shop... and found utter utter madness.

It was a total frenzy, there were kids literally just grabbing boxes off shelves, THEN checking what is was in their hands, before putting them back on a different shelf if it wasn't what they wanted. It explained why there wasn't any exclusive stuff, most of the normal stock would probably disappear daily, internet exclusive stuff wouldn't last a second.

You had kids thrusting their hands into the 'pick and mix' Lego boxes and dropping lego bricks which scattered everywhere over the floor. There was a little toddler kid whose Mum wasn't properly supervising, who literally jammed her hand into a low bin, pulled out a handful of tiny parts and dropped them. When the mum saw this, and started clearing up a little, the kid tried to help, but of course only succeeded in dragging more bricks out than actually putting them back in.

In the end I saw some cool sets (the new Lamborgini Gallardo Spyder was nice but £65? No thanks) it was neat seeing that much Lego in one place. I was tempted buy the Atlantis rover/robot set, but actually seeing it, the transformation looked like it was literally; robot legs and arms swing back and done. Rover. The Mobile base thing was also tempting but I resisted.

I ended up only buying a Star Wars Anniversary Silver Storm Trooper fridge magnet, and a Lego Atlantis Neptune Carrier. With the 10% discount, it meant I pretty much got the Trooper free.

The Atlantis Neptune Carrier is AWESOME. It has an opening bay underneath to store an exploration buggy, there is a little mini vehicle that detaches from the back, and a lab/workshop area underneath the main cockpit. It comes with 3 scientist guys (each with their dual face heads, this an Atlantis only thing?) and a bad guy and his manta ray.

My only complaint about this set is the cockpit doesn't open on a hinge. I modified it with my abundance of Lego bricks, so I got an opening bubble, but it made the front look like crap, so I went back to the normal setup.

Anyway pics of the carrier later if anyone is interested. Not a lot of pictures of the park itself, just a long video of the Lego village.

i also have the neptune carrier, and i agree its awesome! i wish atlantis would make more subs, at least something RESEMBLING a sub. i like what they have, but they could do better. the command headquarters looks ok as a sub, i just wish they would construct something with an interior. i feel like ever since i was 5 i wanted lego to just make SOMETHING with an interior. maybe someday :)

Agents also has it. As far as I know, none of the City stuff has this feature, or Star Wars (maybe on a few figures, I'm not sure).
