I think Headmasters will get the most love, I voted Beast Wars Neo.

In my opinion, if ANY of these series were explored as dub material, they would need to be able to sell toys. While Headmasters has a LOT of still viable G1 material (including the ability for Hasbro to reuse many existing molds), I think BW Neo stands better on its own as a series.

While a sequel to BW2, from what I've seen, much of it could be edited to stand on its own. And from a toy perspective, everything is done, mostly still available and I think BW Neo would get a bigger bang for Hasbro's investment.

Plus, fans have been wanting more Beast Wars and goofy Japanese series (ala RiD), I think BW Neo fills both needs.

I'd like to see all of them done, provided the dialogue is localized, goofy mannerisms are toned down, and the voice acting is competent. In the meantime, in settle for Beast Wars Neo. Peter Cullen as Big Convoy screaming "I'll take you all on!" ROTF style sounds like it could work.

Agree with the "soon" part. If they can't get the original cast, they could always get good soundalikes. Dr. Smoov could probably do about half the voices himself based on his awesome mash-up parody work.

    Victory, Masterforce, then Headmasters.

I would love for Hasbro or Takara to reissue toys never released in the US - Star Saber, Victory Leo, Overlord, LioKaiser, and Galaxy Shuttle to name a few.

BW Neo! It's a crying shame the West has not yet officially recognised Big Convoy! Maybe they could re-name him 'Mammoth Prime' for the Western audience? But seriously, this bot's too awesome to not have included in our BW universe!

Though the cartoon's rather kiddy in tone and spends quite a few episodes mid-series basically toy advertising, it's enjoyable and explores a few interesting ideas in the BW universe, such as the recruitment and training of Maximal/Cybertron soldiers, TFs residing on other planets, transwarp technology and interstellar travel, a Convoy Council, Vector Sigma, etc. And the series really does pick up toward the last episodes when the threat of Unicron looms. With a little re-editing and changes to some dialogue, BW Neo could make a nice addition to the accepted BW fiction. It would also have the bonus of bringing in Lio Convoy from BW2 as well. And I think it would be better to have a more recent TFs series from 1999 than to expect the 80s series of Headmasters, Masterforce or Victory to appeal to the modern audience.

Beast Wars II. I don't really like anime usually, and TF anime especially, but I LOVE that show. It's a parody, and unlike RID, is actually really funny, and has some hilarious characters like the Jointron Brothers, Starscream and Mr "Roger!" BB or the Space Pirate Seacons. Sadly, only 13 episodes have been subbed (what the heck are the japanese-knowing TF fans doing instead of subbing this when every other TF series has been subbed?)

If I have to pick second, it's Masterforce. Despite about 75% of the cast being humans in TF armor (yeah, those japs love mecha) the characters were interesting and the plot was something I could actually care about.

What NOT to Translate: - Headmasters. It's the most boring, one-dimensional series where old G1 favourites are killed off or reduced to background characters, to make room for... totally one-dimensional new characters. Plus: Wheelie and Daniel get lot of screentime in EVERY episode, and even without rhyming, Wheelie is 100% more annoying because he wants to act tough.

Masterforce was WONDERFULLY written. Much better than the dull as nails Headmasters. Havn't seen Victory so can't vote there yet.

So masterforce it is for me. It's more fun, better written and the characters are interesting and developed. Headmaster's characters are all bland and without personality and the show just drags. Definately Masterforce for me.

-ZacWilliam, seriusly wonders how anyone who has watched all of Headmasters would want to vote for it here.

I just want Beast Wars II to America oceans, because we've know that half the BWII Maximals/Predacons are in the IDW Beast Wars comics.

Masterforce. It has the 2 Decepticon assholes that turn into combinable jets, and God Ginrai VS fucking King Neptune or whatever the Seacon gestalt was called in the Japanese version. FOR THE WIN.

Also, I've seen some fansubbed episodes and the series was enjoyable. The fight scenes were cool, and I think it was the 1st anime TF series. Honestly, it was a toss up between this and Victory. Victory was enjoyable too, but I figure if Masterforce was brought over, Victory might follow.

I have to go with Beast Wars II and NEO since it seems there are no good quality subbed versions of them to be had.

I'd really like a chance to see the Beast Series. If I want the others, Metrodome already did translations.

It's a tough choice, but when you consider that the series would probably come over without any of the toys, there's not much reason to want stuff like Masterforce and Victory. It always seemed like the more creative control the Japanese animators received, the sillier everything became. Seriously, who came up with that end credit theme to Victory?!

I'd rather see those shows turned into a comic by IDW that takes all the awesome battle scenes but completely rehauls the plot so the North American/UK audience doesn't have to cringe in pain quite so much.

No, I think I vote for Beast Wars II. Because 1)we already have 90% of the toys, 2)A few minor dubline changes and the show fits perfectly with our script for Beast Wars I, 3)Lio Convoy/Leo Prime, and 4)I never figured out how in the heck in the late 90's anime craze were Beast Wars II and Neo forgotten and not dubbed and brought over to be a quick filler series like, say, Car Robots was?

    So yeah, more Beast Wars!

    Beast Wars Neo.

It was a fun show that still had characters and drama with great pacing. The first half introduced the characters and had a kind of original Star Trek feel to it as we learned about the crews and the universe. Then the Blendtrons come in, kick ass and take names and suddenly the series shifts into a far more dramatic and serious show that ends with a major effects heavy bonanza (though too fast) end battle.

    I'd say TF: Victory,
and not only that. it SHOULD have an "americanized" themes. featuring Seasons 3 theme song, and (fanmade) intro and outtro animations. (it might similar to G1 seasons 4 intros, where ev Toei doga-made ads are mishmashed into it.)
    - Micromasters first appear in TF: Victory, (Holly, Jan's buddy is Micromaster)
    - Deathsaurus's shuttle IS also shttle/base thing released and marketed as Micromasters
    - several pretenders also appeared in cartoons.
all of which had american ads, featuring Toei Doga's works.

I was thinking Victory at first - I mean, Americanizing it might actually improve it, because the repetitive plots could be somewhat redeemed by giving the characters some actual frikkin' personality - cardboard cutout Autobots are like the no.1 reason I hate that show.

But I ended up voting Headmasters because it suffers much from the same problem, but isn't even half as repetitive or unimaginative - and the last thing I want is yet another "official" translation using that stupid "Deathsaurus" spelling.

I'd vote for either of the Japanese Beast Wars shows since they're not available officially in English anywhere. For fans like us, region barriers aren't much of an impediment and let's face it, we'd be the main ones buying.

That said, I'd vote Masterforce simply because it's such a breath of fresh air plot wise and stylistically, even now some 20 years on. No series before or since handled the humans or the spiritual angle in quite the same way. And let's face it - it rocks seeing those later G1 toys in action.
