Yeah, his colors remind me of dessert....and of a Y-wing. Maybe I should add some black highlights and skull and crossbone decals for a roy fokker themed jet....

Count yourself extremely lucky. Great swaths of the country never received Skystalker at all. While I was able to secure Mindwipe, I cannot prove that Skystalker was ever sold at retail, and I want one.

You hear that Hasbro? You blew the distribution on this "partner" figure. Instead of a repaint, please give us a wide "re-release" of the original Skystalker.

 

I eventually couldn't resist and picked one off the shelves. He seems to be more abundant than Skystalker was. I posted some pics and a few words in the Feedback section if anyone's interested.....

 

It looks strangely heroic. Like a bright Macross Plus design now.

The one thing I like about sunspot a little more than skystalker is the decepticon crest emblem on the robot arms. On skystalker its just a 808 but here it helps break up all the brightness in jet mode with a grim war mecha tampograph.

 

This dont look too bad, but its ashame each time i look at this, it reminds of Eggs!! All it needs is a side of Bacon and toast and were set.

 

I'm torn,

I just dropped $30 (which included shipping) for a ROTF original Skystalker to go with the Mindwipe I have. Now I find there's going to be a repaint, but it's a repaint that doesn't work with Mindwipe at all. My interest in Skystallker was mostly due to the ability to combine with Mindwipe, which I didn't find out about until it sold out everywhere.

Now if they were going to release a mindwipe repaint in a Sunstorm color scheme, you might have something.

Although I really wish they'd release the Dreadwing color scheme into something more accessible than a $165 (and will only go up from there) Tokyo con exclusive.

 

$30 including shipping New, and that was the best deal. The only other option was $30+international shipping from Hong Kong.

For quite a while the stores in my area (defined as a 50-mile radius) did not receive a lot of Transformers. They were mostly clogged with ROTF wave 1 stuff that no one wanted.

I got him yesterday along with Insecticon....I wonder if Reprolabels will release a "shattered glass" sticker set for this gut because that is who he reminds me of maybe some Autobot stickers instead maybe to go with Strafe
