I see that you mean good. Some tips ( My suggestion no need to take em at heart) 1. Lighting! Very dark. 2. Distance from figure 3. Reverse angle! You want the figure as focus of attention. 4. Display Area ( When I watch reviews a white surface area help bring out detail) I wish ya luck and have fun doing the reviews! Cool to see a collector near my area!
Heya Spark Wonderful advice thank you very much! I'll explain alittle bit about why i do them this way. The darkness is a bit of an issue because i live in a basement apartment and unfortunately i don't get any natural light. I try and throw on some lamps and all the pot lights are on but i still don't get a very bright look on camera The distance from the figure is mere comfort really. i practiced a bunch of different ways and angles but this was the most comfortable angle in this little space. As for the focus on the transformer i thought it would be nice to actually see a physical person holding it and interacting within the review. I find reviews with just hands and a toy alittle cold meaning i don't find it very personal or welcoming. I try and get close ups of the toy by bringing it closer to the camera quite often throughout the review because i do realize i'm alittle far and its alittle dark. The white surface idea is something i'm definitely going to look into. i completely agree. Mississauga! Gonna be out that way for the action figure expo and one of my favourite pubs is at hurontario near the 403 !!
