I was at work when I looked up my tracking number and saw that my order from TFSource had been delivered at 4:04 pm yesterday. Well when I got home it was where to be found so I figured they took it back to the post office, but then I realized that there wasn't one of those "we tried to deliver" slips in the my mail box. I went to the post office this morning with the tracking number and was told 3 times that "we don't leave mail on the porch, we bring it back here and redeliver". I was like if it was brought back here why does it say "delivered at 4:04 pm"?

So then the guy took down my info because his manager was in a meeting and she'd call me. She called at 12:00 to tell me she was going to call the carrier that delivered it then call me back. (Why she didn't call him first, I don't know). Well she didn't call back so I went BACK to the PostOffice at 4:30 and again was told "we don't leave packages on porches". OH and that the "manager" had left at three so there was "NO WAY SHE WOULD HAVE TALK TO THE CARRIER (guy behind the counters words). So then he looks up the carriers cell calls him and guess what????? HE LEFT IT ON THE PORCH!!!!!!!!

I'm getting me a good nights sleep, because first thing in the morning I will be back in that Post Office.

 

Buggeration man! Hope you at least get some form of compensation for this.

 

I have to say, US guys, your postal service is fucked. A few years ago I was staying with friends in Sacramento after Botcon, and was expecting an Air Attack Primal to be delivered there. My friends were both at work; I was in the shower when I thought I heard a knock on the door. I got dried and checked to find the parcel with Primal just left on the doorstep. Ludicrous.

 

So what happens now? If they did leave it on the porch and it did get stolen, are they liable? I mean officially? Can you claim for any losses?
That really does suck big monkey balls though.

 

I had a BBTS order get swiped, from my door step, so to speak. (The starscream/hound/etc universe wave and 2 shadow commander sets). The silver lining thankfully was BBTS replaced the order at their expense.

 

Yeah I just emailed TFSourse to see if there is anything they can do if not just hold onto a set for me until i get it sorted out so we'll see. I don't really see them at fault, they didn't leave it there.

 

Dude that sucks! I would be so pissed, and that is so BULL that they don't leave on the doorstep. They so do! Only if it requires a SIGNATURE will they take it back and retry delivery. UPS and FedEx just leave shit too! I came home today after a DRs appointment to find my Package from BBTS, Bruticus upgrade, Piranacon and Henkei Hound, just sitting on the Patio infront of my steps! Not even under the overhang, and we are in the path or Hurrican Earl so it could have rained today and the shit would have got wet! Thank goodness it didn't and I was off half a day today.

 

My UPS guy left me BBTS.com bruticus duo 2 pack swindle/blastoff package on my porch yesterday. the time I went outside & got the package. the outer package was hot & the inner duo bruticus packages were hot.

 

Wow...this happened to me yesterday also! I got mine from BBTS with delivery through UPS. Tracking shows delivered but it was not on the porch. UPS told me to contact the seller and have them start a claim. That sux b/c I was really looking forward to those!

 

That sucks, man. I hope you get it sorted out. I have noticed ALL delivery services leave stuff on your step. As mentioned, they only take it back to the Post Office if it requires a signature on the package.

I've been lucky so far here......my postal lady always hand delivers my stuff to me (if I'm home), if not, she always takes it back to the post office and leaves me a slip to let me know. I never asked her about doing that, she just does it for me (which sucks now, because we're packing to move soon and I foresee nothing but problems since every other mail delivery man/woman has left my items either crammed in my large mailbox or on my front steps).

 

USPS carriers tend to leave packages in the porch, especially the newbies that they hire......I had 3 of my BBTS orders left in my porch (thank God I have good neighbors who call me when they do that) and a 4th package tossed(thrown) out in a rainy day. I had the carrier that tossed my package in the rain fired(serves him right) and complained about the other carrier about leaving packages in the porch. To this date, I have not had any more problems with them. I really hope that you get some compensation or that your order gets replaced.

 

I hope someone can help you, however I know how this goes. The Post office will say "Did you buy insurance?" and no is probably the answer. To which they will say "Ah.... well next time, buy insurance. Its a couple of bucks extra".

That is how they took care of me lol. Jerks....

 

That's terrible. It's something I have always worried about happening to me.

 

Fedex left it at my back door. I'm usually home and was home when they left this set.

 

damn, sorry to hear that happened to you. do you think it could have been one of the college kids that might have done it just for the hell of it? i ask because of the area we're in, i'm in the radford area and something like this makes me feel a little uneasy about the pile-of-loot that will be here next week.

 

Luckily for me, all items that come via USPS, UPS, or Fedex get delivered to my concierge at the front of the building. The concierge is required and demanded by the apartment property manager to mark all boxes to whom ever the tenants apartment no. is and guard the packages with their life (lol, being sarcastic). None of the USPS guys, etc are allowed to leave boxes thrown in front the apartment doors of the tenants here (or else everybodys deliveries would be stolen..catastrophe major!!!!). I have never had a problem here with deliveries and all packages have come home safely to me.

Back when I was living with my folks, I had my bass guitar (non TF related) sent to a repair shop in PA. When it was done for the repairs and sent back to me I was notified via the UPS tracking system to expect my bass guitar to be delivered that day. I waited all day for it as I did not want to leave a over $2500.00 bass guitar sitting on the porch. Well I waited all day for it and said to myself "why is this taking forever to come?". I had to be somewhere that night and it was already 8pm at night and my freakn instrument wasn't delivered yet. So I gave up and left for at least a 1/2hr or so to get something I needed at the store, got back from the store and guess what??...... my bass guitar was sitting on the front porch visible to everybody who passes by... man was I pissed!!! Darn thing didn't show up till 8:45pm.

 

heres how it is...

ups ground service with no signature, which bbts does and if you dont ask for it, will get left at your door step, same with fedex ground.

usps parcel post will be left, priority with no tracking will get left as well usually. if it has tracking majority of the time a notice will be left.

that sucks and the usps should be responsible for that shit.

 

This is why I have every thing I order delivered to work.

 

Too funny...I so use to do that as well!! Everything would be delivered 1st thing in the morning!! Corporate Companys get shipments real early in the mornings!!
