Good studio to revive this franchise. But why, oh why do they need to dredge up that awful title.

They can call it Duke Nukem: Kicks the S*** Out Of Your Face, and I'd play it as long as they make it as good as Borderlands!

This sounds familiar... oh yeah! That's right... I've been hearing this same song and dance since the 90s.

I won't believe it until I am playing it. Even then I'll be skeptical.

They sure have a hell of a lot of hype to live up to by now. Although, even if the game is 110% fail, if they release it, it will be some sort of accomplishment.

Well, Gearbox has completed games before. I know, I just beat Borderlands yesterday... AGAIN.

Because this is perhaps the most legendary video game that was never released ever. The media buzz for this will be hilarious.

And the fan rage over it's inadequacies will be deafening.

I don't get the love for Duke Nukem. It's a mediocre theme for mediocre games.

I don't see why anyone cares if the damn thing is ever released.

Because the name alone brings publicity to it.

Over the top testosterone filled violence, one liners and bad comedy? Makes perfect sense to me.

Or more to the point, Duke3D was years ahead of other FPS games for enviroment interaction and level design when it came out. The franchise still carries goodwill from that game, despite 3DR's best attempts to flush it down the toilet with crap spin-offs and a vaporware sequel.

"*after looking at himself in a mirror* Damn! I'm looking good!"
I can never forget that line, sooo corny... x-D
Wolf3D and Doom were the first two FPS/Rated M games I played.... Duke3D was next.

Well it's a shame there are no more teenagers or people who can enjoy "immature" things left in this world to play this game then.

    Obviously there are.

THIS sounds a little more on the money for explaining its popularity.

When I think Duke Nukem, I think of the FIRST ones, as they were the only ones I really played. Mediocrity at it's finest, there.
