Yes, i know that Katoki's designs have been used, but the reason that they're being released as such is due to the books releas.
Yeah, these aren't reworked. Hajime Katoki redesigned all five of the Gundam Wing MS because he's awesome. The EW suits are the redesigned ones.
So do I, man. I sure hope it's a perfect transformation, though. I'll be disappointed if I have to take parts off or replace some. It's a MG, so I'd expect it to not be a parts-former. The one bad thing about the kit is the large number of seam lines it has. It's going to be hell to fix up.
Wait, what? I'm pretty sure he designed the Endless Waltz suits, which were a redesign of the Space Custom variants of each MS from the original series. In making such drastic redesigns of them he wanted to also redesign the originals to make them look more like downgraded versions of the EW suits.
I think you're both saying the same thing ravage. He's saying these new kits aren't reworked. That these designs existed for a long time before these.
So my part time job is finally starting back up again, which means I'll finally have a steady source of disposable income. I have a few plans for what I'm going to do. I'm eventually going to pick up and do the Deathscythe EW I detailed a little while back, but I've got another plan for something I want to do first I want to bounce off all y'all. I want to pick up the Defier Hobby version of the Unicorn Banshee, heard bad thing about the tatsu hobby edition (bubbling and warping abound), but I'm not happy with the color scheme most seem to be using. I'm fine with using the lighter grey for frame, lighter black for main armor, and dark black for the feet. The part I don't agree with is the Gold Psychoframe. It's described, from what I can find, as burning. It gives the gundam the nickname of "Psychoflame". Gold doesn't jive with that for me. To make it a bit different, and more to my taste, I think I'm going to paint mine up with a Tamiya Clear Orange and Clear Red Mix. I hope to achieve something close to these pictures. I don't know about you, but that's not gold. I still want to paint the V-Fin gold. I also am going to equip it with both gatling guns to make it look more menacing. I think I might paint the beam sabers green, too. Of course, this will use the much more awesome OVA ver of the kit. Just thought I'd throw it out there to see what everyone thinks.
Yami4ct, That would be awesome, I'm with you never liked how people painted the psyco frame gold. Can't wait to see the pics.
Well damn. i was always going to make a series of 'Fallen' Gundams, all Black with orange lining. But if i do that to Unicorn, it'll just look like Banshee. F***.
I personally like locktite super glues. There are a million different kinds to fit your style, dry super quickly and are pretty cheap.
So I just finished SD Sonken?(I think that's his name), only panel lining is left. But for the most part, I am pretty proud of myself, a noob modeler, for what I've been able to do with this guy. He's a pretty cool figure, although I wish they had kept elbow joints on the new SD figures. Critisms are welcome. And on a side note, I bought a display case for my custom 00 Raiser but unfortunately he was just too tall to be posed standing up so i decided to make him kneel. Haha.
Well, finished Turn A Gundam today. What a wonderful show that was. It's not the highest quality gundam show, V or Zeta probably take that mantel, but it's certainly my favorite. It has some major pacing issues, mostly because it's much more character oriented, and the story does fall into quite a few tropes, but I feel all the other things overshadow these flaws. I'd love to see a new gundam series that took plays right before the beginning of Correct Century or sometime after the events of Turn A. There are a lot more stories that could be told in that world.
Um, the show not the kit The last battle in particular is amazing Makes me really want a MG Turn X. I probably will buy the MG of the most powerful gundam EVAR Turn A after this. Seriously, not even Akatsuki could come close to 1/100 of the level of hax0rz Turn A has in it's fingertips.
