I'm not REALLY "broke" I just don't make much. I don't want everything, just some (no pcc leaders or drones, but I want the minicons:crazy: ) I can only buy one or two every month or so.

Anyone else going through this:sly: (Lucky peaugh)

because lack of toys is a valid reason to resent being broke :|

being able to afford toys in the 1st place is pretty decent. how much toys are you expecting to be able afford a month? like, transfan2 level? :p

If you don't buy at least 3 of everything, you're not a true fan and should be ashamed.

Hey i am glad i am able to afford a deluxe or voyager every week or two with a big figure every now and than. Having extra income to buy a toy even every month or so is something to be thankful for.

I think it's safe to assume most people aren't fond of being broke, Transformers fan or not.

I lived for months on $20/week. Half of that went to gas, the other often on food for that week. I got out of every hobby I had at the time: reading comics, buying toys, etc.

You aren't that bad when you can still somewhat enjoy your hobby.

I still never got back into reading comics, after over 4 years. But that's not because I'm broke or anything now.

Let me tell you, when you're short on cash, never before have deluxe sized figures seemed so wonderful. They're just the perfect balance between price and quality. Voyager size toys are starting to look ugly and like overkill to me, lol, but then again it has been three years since I've held an MP figure.

You're preaching to God of broke sir...about to pay back approximately THREE GRAND over the next few months....really sux. Thankfully though, I can squeeze some money for WFC Soundwave, Gens. Blurr, and Predaking for November. But yeah....THREE GRAND....such a daunting number.

I know the feeling of being broke. I've made a budget and figured in collectibles as part of that. Now it is the process to assign a month to each hobby. TMNT, GI Joe, and Transformers.

well it's entirely possible to do it.

after all some fast food restaurants have the one dollar food section on their menu behind the cash register.

weis supermarkets have that 10 for $10 frozen foods section. you don't have to buy all 10 items to get the dollar price. you can buy one or two items & pay $1.00 each. they actually have some high quality frozen items like chicken rollentines, breakfast sausage & egg on a english muffin or crossant. 16 frozen meatballs in italian seasoned flavor for $1.00. jamacian styled beef patties, burritos, set of 3 tacos for $1.00. egg & cheese omlet. tiny pizzas.

Personally i'd chose the wies $1.00 items over that fast food restaurants $1.00 items.

wow only $10 bucks on gas for the week??

do you own a 4 cylinder? motorcyle or a hybrid?

was this time period when gas prices per gallon were around or less than $1.60 ?

because at the current $2.70+ per gallon gas prices. that's not even 4 gallons of gas for $10.00.

Mate, You don't need to spend big bucks on TFs to be happy. I'm currently waiting on a MM Patrol ($12) & just today I bought two G1 catalogues off Ebay ($7). Cheap TFs can = :) .

I'm pretty much not getting paid this month and have to live for the next thirty days off of my savings so yeah, I know what its like to feel broke. :(  And what's worse is that I get this nagging feeling that Darkmount will be coming out real soon and I won't be able to buy him before he's all sold out.

BBTS will probably have him for a while..that is where i got mine...and he is definitely worth paying the extra shipping for VS maybe not having him show up locally...

This happened with skystalker and red rampage...
