The retool of Drift into Blurr is a fantastic use of the mold. Blurr was always due an Earth mode because in most of the fiction he was based on this planet. In fact, G1 Blurr's car mode was a 'futuristic' car, a depiction of what the designer thought cars would or could look like in 2005/6. Gentleman, we have passed 2005, present day cars look nothing like G1 Blurr. Generations Blurr makes complete sense.

 

I guess that means you can call me a Drift completionist... as sad as that sounds.

... so did you get the Cybertronian Drift modelkit? The papercraft model?

 

This is why I think the new headsculpt and IDW's take on Blurr is so awesome.

IDW Blurr is a HUGE step up on Geewun Blurr.

The IDW Blurr doesn't bother me. Classics-Universe-Generations are updates of characters (in this case G1). They don't need to look exactly the same. In general, if I can recognize the character, then it's fine.
Of course, Blurr was never a favorite of mine anyway.
