I like how the rifle is two handed (the smaller piece toward the bottom front of the barrel swivels out to allow for two handed holds). I also prefer it with the black plastic, I think it actually accents him more.

I can see how he really doesn't seem like G1 Blurr, especially compared against original G1, the current Gen. Drift figure, and the Animated figure. But, he does come across as a very nice IDW Blurr, which is what Generations seems more than anything to recognize. If it wasn't for IDW producing stories (regardless of like or dislike), we may not have seen a version like this on the shelves, if at all. While I too would have liked him to have a shield, I'm sure that an eager Radicon or two will design one along with a Targetmaster, and I look forward to seeing that.

I consider this another bought figure for my collection.

Preordered before there were any pictures. Even though Blurr is a repaint of Drift, I like the more mature look. I also like the more realistic alt mode. The colors pay homage to G1 and he looks like a special ops sniper. There hasn't really been a bad version of Blurr. I wish there was a ALT/BT version.

I like the big gun, but I'm not feeling Blurr as a sniper. He hasn't got the patience! He'll be holding the pistols more often in my display.

He does look a little better in these pics...though still unsure if he tops Cybertron Blurr...

Bought on site. Yeah sure he could've been more geewunny, but I'll live with it. *Fingers crossed* for more '86 cast updates: Kup, Arcee, Wreck-Gar, and Gnaw

Bit of an error on the news post on this - Blurr doesn't speak fast in the IDW comics (except in that one issue of the Bumblebee mini, in which the writing team literally completely ignored everything that had already been established about Blurr, including alt mode, and just went for a G1 cartoon version)

Also is my mind playing tricks on me or have we been told that his pistols can form a bipod for the rifle?

Looks nothing like Blurr to me. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this has gotta be one of the worst choices for a Blurr mold they could have possibly chosen. Yes, I know, everybody says it looks like his IDW rendition, but to me his IDW rendition looks nothing like what the character should anyway, and every time I see this figure it just reminds me that we may never see a proper G1 Blurr remake. :(

There's a shot in AHM 15 of Blurr and Drift sitting opposite eachother and the symmetry is quite notable. If you look at the art for Blurr from his Spotlight (scroll to bottom) you'll notice that he has chunky lower legs, very large shoulders, 'skirt kibble' hanging off his waist, and an elongated head/helment. The vehicle mode is also very comic accurate (although not 100%).

In that sense it looks exactly like the character should. A representation of Blurr in Earth mode.

It doesn't do much for me, but I may pick it up if I see it (unlikely since I'm in the UK!)

Nice quality head sculpt, though I'm always torn - the whole winged helmet look is a bit... silly.

But see, my point is that Blurr should never get an earth mode, and if he does, it should be very sleek, not blocky like it is in the IDW comics. The character is suppose to look futuristic in both modes, but IDW Blurr just looks very normal to me, he just doesn't look like he should IMO. But hey, to each his own.

Thor and Classic Cap America would like a word with you. :p

Actually the wings are homage to other speedsters of the past. Golden Age Flash (Jay Garrick) and the greek myth god Hermes.

As you are aware, he is based off of what he is like in the IDW comics. I don't understand, why you feel he shouldn't get an earth mode. After all, it not the Blurr of the orginal toyline, Sunbow series, or Marvel comics.

I feel like I'm going in circles here. For the third time, I think the character of Blurr should always be sleek and futuristic, and I feel that his IDW version is just the opposite. Therefore, I dislike his IDW rendition as well as this toy.

Hasbro is the license holder of the Transformers brand, correct?

And "Blurr" is a character from that brand, also correct?

Now, the G1 representation of Blurr is that he had a Cybertronian form, was super speedy in both his movements and his speech, third correct?

Well then, IDW... who is the comic company working DIRECTLY WITH HASBRO, has created the "updated" version of this character in their comics.

This "IDW Blurr" is a Cybertronian form. Runs quick. And talks quicker.

Hasbro, because they're working alongside IDW, has given them the :thumb

That Blurr that you're looking at...?

THAT IS THE OFFICIAL LOOK OF BLURR AS DESIGNATED BY HASBRO, HOLDER OF THE TRANSFORMERS LICENSE!

So, to sum this up? If you want your "G1 Blurr", buy the old brick. However, if you're still whining about an official update...

*Points at the toy* THAT'S ALL YOU'RE GOING TO GET.

Don't be like Ultra Magnus, AND DEAL WITH IT.
