This is my version of Shockwave which I imagine as he would be if brought back by the Junkions. After he seemingly perished in the battle with Unicron, his fading life spark is recovered by Decepticons who were loyal to him and weary of Galvatron's insanity. They bring it to the Junkions to rebuild their once powerful Cybertron commander. In exchange the Decepticons promise a full VHS tape set series of the "Happy Days" and a mint conditioned VCR player. Now back and more powerful then ever, Shockwave and his rogue legion embark on a quest to bring Autobots and Decepticons alike to their hands and knees. I gotta say that before I even started working on this project, I knew nothing about an entire awesome community of people who created transformers fan projects from scratch/mod and repaint. I actually thought I was the only crazy nut who had aspirations of creating an entire transformer from scratch. Still, even then my original plan was to screw some plastic forks & knives together to a pencil sharpener as limbs. I woulda stood it on my desk as paper weight and called it a day. lol Now I've been working on my fictional version of one of my favorite transformer for a year now. I have been very busy between work and 2 very hyper twin 2 year olds who like to break stuff and a nagging wife. lol This guy is made entirely from household junk plastics and a few small metal scraps. There were absolutely no transformers harmed in this production...although can't say the same for a tiny gundam and a few bits from an bionicle which my kids bashed to death. I never used a drumel. everything was assemble painstakingly with countless pieces of tiny pegs. I drilled holes with difference sizes of heated screwdriver tips. Whatever I needed to cut I would use a heated box cutter blade to work quickly. Other labor included some screws and nuts and crazy glue...blood, sweat and some tears...of joy lol. Oh by the way his eye lights up too! I still need to finish up a few details plus work on his alt jet mode nose piece. I also need to build his detachable forearm cannons before I disassemble him some for repaint. I wanted to do something different from the norm for my 1st ever project. It feels awesome to basically take garbage from around your house and reuse it to create something you really like. I hope everyone else likes it too! Thanks for viewing!
Great job on this! Love it that no TF parts were used. Just shows what resourcefulness can achieve. Looking forward to the finished thing.
That's one bad mickey fickey!!!!!!! Thats awesome wrapped in champion! 4 thumbs up! yeah 4 thumbs I have birth deformity
Again, thanks for all your awesome support and it means a lot to me! Can't wait to finish this guy up and continue on one other which I'm in the middle of.
Thanks! I've been making and altering toys for years since I was a kid growing up in the 80s. My parents didn't have a lot of money back then. I had mostly KO heman and GOBOT figures. lol Used to be so jealous of my friends who had real Heman toys and Voltron and Transformers etc.. I would go home and make new and better weapons or badass armor to accessorize my cheapo toys or create a whole new action figure. All my earlier creations got lost to time as I grew up. This is however the very first Transformer I've ever tried.
