HFTD voyager prime,do "you" think it's worth buying?

I've got the leader sized ROTF Optimus Prime.

I honestly can't imagine why fans would want to have both ROTF Leader sized optimus prime & HFTD voyager sized optimus prime.

because the HFTD optimus seems to just be a down sized version of the leader toy. with the voyager having the gimmicks axed.

I saw HFTD voyager optimus at walmart yesterday. I held the toy in my hands for almost a half hour. debatting if it was worth buying. I finally decided against buying it.

My guess is many TF fans still think that this HFTD voyager prime will be able to combine with that takara Jetfire voyager sized armor.

So,why are fans buying this HFTD voyager prime. because they didn't buy the leader sized version? want the leader sized & HFTD voyager prime in their collection? think it might combine with voyager jetfire? or?

If I get the chance, HftD Voyager Prime will be mine. While he looses out to the Leader Class in terms of size, obviously, he makes up for it with having all the essential details the leader class lacks. Things like both axes AND both guns AND the Matrix of Leadership. Even Buster Prime only has the one gun and two axes. I guess it's just personal opinion on which one to get, if not both.

I'm going to buy both because the Leader goes more in scale with the Voyager Ironhide, Ratchet, and most other ROTF and movie-1 toys.

The new Voyager Prime seems more in scale with the new deluxe Ironhide and NEST Ratchet figures.

I have a feeling we may see more large sized characters in smaller scales so that kids and parents will be more inclined/able to buy them, rather than be forced to spend $20 or $40 just to get an Ironhide or Prime they now only have to spend $10 or $20. Plus, these new smaller-scale figures seem to have far better screen representations of the characters and they come loaded with neat gimmicks and accessories.

I want it, because it's a perfect Voyager, but could use some more paint apps.

I collect non-redeco Primes, and he looks good. Thus, I want to add him to the set. He'll be Optimus number 10.

It's got the guns, the swords, the matrix, and the transformation is slightly less complex. It's the perfect toy for playing with. Also, it's in scale with deluxe Ratchet and Ironhide, as well as most of the other movie deluxes.

It's got the Matrix and is an accurate scale to Deuxe Ironhide and Ratchet, so I think he is worth it. If Hasbro does indeed release a version with hooks, then it will definitely be a good purchase.

I'd buy it ! Because I prefer voyager/deluxe size figures and I hate the electronic gizmos in the leader class.

This voyager Prime mold is just fantastic.

Decent toy, But while it has some stuff the leader-class doesn't (Matrix, guns, better jointing in a few spots) I didn't feel it offered much if one is already satisfied with the leader-class toy.

I got burned buying the first voyager prime and then having it rendered useless by robovision prime a few months later. I'm going to wait for the same mold in some sort of premium paint scheme.

He seems like a cool toy, but leader Prime is superior and since I already have the Hasbro, Buster, and Amazon versions of him, I have little need for him in my life.

That was my logic thinking process as well.

I think it hasbro created a newer design that was different than the 2007 voyager & different than the ROTF Leader design. I would have been all over that & bought it.

somehow the HFTD voyager prime just felt like buying the same old leader sized mold but in a smaller more KO type pruchase.

I suspose a more interesting idea for a HFTD voyager prime toy. would have been to do the 1984 mack truck alt mode+bot mode for optimus in the current movie style toy design treatment.

Robovision Prime was the first movie voyager release. Anyway I love it. It makes a great fiddle worthy toy, and is very movie accurate. Plus I love the gimmicks.

I'm personally not getting him, and unless you are dying to have an accurate Voyager Prime this instant, I would probably hold out on buying him. Who knows what TF3 will bring. I'm not looking to have 10+ versions of every character. If Hasbro/Takara can keep improving their movie figures at this rate, I have a feeling the best version of Movie OP is yet to come.
