There's not a song that changed me on a profound level. There are songs I listen too a ton, however. EDIT: Wait, I think I get it know. Well, currently it's The Offspring's "Smash" and "Americana" (sans "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)"), before the Muse's "Resistance", before that it was Weezer's "Pinkerton", so on.
With me, I usually listen to a song, fall in love with it, listen to it on repeat for a week, then finally get tired of it and find another addictive song. Right now, Uprising by Muse is climbing up the scale.
Several you've mentioned have been good ones, but this week I keep humming the score from "The Last of the Mohicans" (1992).. watched it Sunday, afterwards popped in the CD and listened to it several times.. hauntingly beautiful
I've recently found "Compass' from the Red Dead Redemption soundtrack to be particularly striking for me.
"Over the Hills and Far Away" by Nightwish is one I can listen to non-stop, over and over again. Not quite sure why, though, must be the voice.
Most recently it's been Birthright, the "Birthwrong" Remix: YouTube - Birthright (Birthwrong Remix by Blue Stahli) by Celldweller I don't think I've listened to any other music over the past 3 days. It's an orgasm of techno.
There was a good 6 month period where they were almost all I listened to. Made me shed a tear of manliness. This series has a great soundtrack.
There's a song on Creed's new album - Time. I never get sick of that song. And I always get flashbacks from Doctor Who when I hear it. YouTube - Creed-Time Studio Version And anything from Series 5 of Doctor Who or Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard's Batman scores.
"Are God" by Chris Tomlin "Lord of Creation" by I don't remember the Band's name. "Help!" by The Beatles. "Trash Day" by Weird Al
Not a song, but... There was this time when I listened to Mendelssohn's E Minor violin concerto up to 20 times in one weekend, comparing performances by 6 different soloists (liked the Heifetz version the most). I still love that piece.
