Saw these at TRU 2 days ago

Just FYI, some of these have hit retail already. TRU in Fair Lakes, VA had Stealth Force Silverstreak, Bumblebee, & Soundwave.

You are all soulless monsters. That red Ironhide is hot, and I'm getting a bunch of others as well.

The war for cybertron soundwave/ Animated Soundwave has me excited. If Ironhide is a really glossy cherry red in person, then its a winner. Can't dig the Optimus Prime with both flames and G1 stripes: It just a bit confusing. There simply are not enough decepticon rpms and by the looks of this speed stars lineup. Its getting grim for the cons.

There's also a Megatron and a Bumblebee in the works. All the same basic pose and stuff. I'm agreed it's pretty clever, and honestly, I feel a series of two packs with one of those and the appropriate vehicle mode would be a no-brainer.

Well, strictly speaking it was more like the final nail in the coffin of a line that had been on the decline for a while.
We could argue the point for a while, but if you look at some of the toys from 1986 onwards, I'd say what really killed the line would be a combination of a lack of mainstream exposure (no cartoon), the move away from recognisable vehicles, an increasing reliance on increasingly farfetched gimmicks, and the rise of home videogame consoles impacting the toy market as a whole.

But more to the point, Action Masters were 1/2 of the line at that point. These are a small subsection of a vast line with plenty of transforming Transformers. Don't worry, these won't bring the line down. They'll just help Hasbro bring in some more money to make even more cool toys down the line.

Because we all know that a tank, especially one that looks like this, is the stealthiest thing alive!! /facepalm
But they prob should have repackaged these as the new M.A.S.K. series, i would be super excited then.

At least this gives me a moment to breathe so i can recoup funds for stuff that matters.

On the plus side, if kids dig em then it benefits us overall since the flow of cash will go back into producing toys we love. It prob didnt cost them a whole lot production wise to put this stuff out anyway.

Personally id like to see an evolution of the RPM's into small simple fully diecast and transformable cars that can also run as hotwheels, like say the spychangers line from Robots in Disguise

That would be pretty cool. Especially if some of them ended up being updates tot he RID spychangers. Though I would hope they could get the engineering to work better than the Titanium line.

well the transformations would be super simple to make damn sure they don't fall apart on impact that's for sure, you'd only have to pull the legs out, flip the front over to reveal the head and pull out the car sides for arms, not a whole lot of engineering involved, they just need to invest in more solid connectors for the legs and front to stay put during the demolition derby that is hot wheels play and include a few nice sci-fi playset like maybe a nice cybertron or autobot city theme.

Anyway i'm ranting far too much about something that may never happen, but you know, mankind has yet to recognize my genius.

Yup, the Target near me has nearly all of the Stealth Force ones in stock except for Bumblebee and Inferno, the Speed Stars Bumblebee track set, all of the Iron Man 2 stuff, and the Power Bots Optimus Prime. At least, they did three days ago.

I actually like the RPM line, so it looks like I have some new stuff to add to my "want" list. Except that Optimus looks pretty damn hideous. I will definitely be picking up that remote control Barricade though.

Can't say this is anything that interests me. But hey, all those people clamoring for a red movie Ironhide get one now, right? ;)

Oh yeah, everyone knows that yellow jet isn't Starscream, it's BW2 Thrust!
