Well if you ordered it on the 25th, you gotta take into account the day or two it takes for them to mail it out. If it's USPS, you'll probably get it tomorrow or Saturday. Otherwise i'd probably say Monday. As for the gold, i posted a really good way to do it a hundred pages back or so. XD
Well, there are a few ways to do the gold. You can try to hand paint it using a brush or gundam marker like I did, you can mask and spray, or you can cut down the stickers so they don't look like crap. Squee sprayed his. For the shield, which is a real bitch, he painted it all gold, let it dry, put the stickers on and than painted black over it.
You could try coating it with Games Workshop Mithril Silver, and then going over that with Tamiya Clear Yellow. After a few coats, it makes it a goldish colour.
GW Boltgun Metal works better, imo. Mithril is way too bright. Also, Boltgun Metal works for panel lining as well.
Finished my RX-78 V.2.0 today. Man, it's a nice MG. My only big fail were the fingers. They were irksome to separate.
Half way finished my Cross Bone X 1...I finished the upper body today. I always liked the Cross Bone designs...so very different, and unique...I really like the whole pirate thing it had going on.
I'm interested in the upcoming MG rezel, but should I buy this kit or wait for the possible commander type?
If you want the cannon, wait for the commander. It's going to happen no doubt. Bandai never gives up the opportunity to reuse a mold. I'm guessing it will be at least $10 to $20 more, so if you don't care that much go with this one. Me, I'll be getting 2 regulars and 1 commander for a full platoon. I love Gundam UC and am also stupid in love with transforming kits.
Finally completed my custom 00 Raiser, I decided to go with the red colour scheme and also made the joints and basically everything that was supposed to be grey gold. It didn't take me too long because I kinda rushed it a bit, but I'm satisfied with it. Criticisms are welcome. : )
Not bad, except for the gold. It's well done, I just hate suits with gaudy inner frames. The gold frame is what ruined Stike Freedom for me. Your's is better than that, but it still distracts from the actual suit. Other than that, I like your choice of red. The matte finish looks good. The gold looks much better on the V Fin, too.
Nice job, i like it. The gold is actually remarkably well done. Not sure i would've used it for the inner frame, i'm just as much of a hater of Strike Freedom as Yami, if not more.
They're modified kits from Advance of Zeta series. Thats the RX-121 Gundam TR-1 Hazel Custom with added parts (not sure if these are official or just made up additions).
Advance of Zeta, mangas. EDIT: I think my favorite thing about the Advance of Zeta designs is their naming references to Watership Down. That tickles my literary happy place.
