I kind of wonder if something like Transformers Prime will not have a bigger impact on kids since a cartoon can flesh out characters and stories in a way that is much harder for films to do. Providing that hook into the world of Transformers that films just haven't dug into.

There are some film elements in the designs to some of the Prime characters but then there is a lot that is far closer to War for Cybertron than the films.

On this note: I'm more looking forward to Transformers: Prime than TF3.

Transformers Prime has a few things I'm not totally sold on right now, but yea I'm way more excited about where this new cartoon might go than I am about where Transformers 3 might go.

Too early for a reboot. I think we should all be happy that it even was made into a movie in the first place.

Movie studios and companies like Hasbro simply do not walk away from the kind of money that would be generated by a reboot. Never gonna happen. The Michael Bay films can be fully credited with proving to the skeptics that Transformers live action movies can work, and in doing so revealed just how much money making potential they have. Thus ensuring beyond a doubt (in my mind at least) that brainstorming as to how to approach the next wave of movies will begin shortly after the producers swim in the proceeds of TF3 Scrooge McDuck style.

That being said, I would like to see the Bayverse flaws rectified with better character development.
