He had a mouth in RotF. It looked like a mouthplate when he wasn't talking, and was a weird insect-oid-ish mouth, but was definitely a mouth.
A better toy of Soundwave would be a wonderful thing. Kinda funny- I took one look at that Soundwave head and had to dig my Soundwave out from the basement where he's been since moving 10 months ago. Within 5 minutes I remembered why he's been in the basement for the last 10 months. It's a great re imagined head. Otherwise it's a really crappy toy. He may find his way back into the basement very soon... My Cybertron Soundwave hasn't been out since the move either, and is a much cooler figure if I dig anybody out.
